Rush Limbaugh: "Trump and that convention lifted me at a time I needed it."

In Instapundit, Glenn Reynolds expresses his agreement with these words of Rush Limbaugh.
It was during the Republican convention last week and it was obvious what the Democrat Party was attempting to do. And they’re building on it now with the attempt to blame Trump for all of the domestic terrorism that is going on. I believe the Democrat Party, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, whoever, I think they are attempting, and have been for a while, to literally foment a race war. I think that has been the objective. And they have been throwing so much hate at Donald Trump that they have been goading him into responding with his own version of hate. And that is where Trump has been brilliant.

He has not responded in kind. He has not responded with hate. They have ladled it on. They have just hammered hate at him, hoping that he will hammer hate back at them. You look at that Republican convention, there wasn’t any hate. You couldn’t find a shred of it. All you found was love, appreciation. You found one of the most diverse political conventions I have ever seen, one that was uplifting to me. And I needed it at the point that it happened last week. And it did. Trump and that convention lifted me at a time I needed it. And I hope that it had the same effect on a lot of other people.

He made the further point: If you can predict every single judge's vote based solely on their partisan affiliation -- ignoring the facts of the case -- then what you have is not a court of law, but a court of politics.

Greg and guests share their takes on the Republican National Convention

"The day that liberalism died, and progressivism rose from the ashes, a dark turn in leftist history that no one seems to have noticed."

In the American Spectator, Jack Cashill writes in part, about the Travon Hoax, a new movie presently showing on YouTube.
Zimmerman’s arrest marked the day that liberalism died, and progressivism rose from the ashes, a dark turn in leftist history that no one seems to have noticed.

The results have been catastrophic. In January 2009, 79 percent of whites and 64 percent of blacks held a favorable view of race relations in America. By July 2013, following the Zimmerman trial, those figures had fallen to 52 percent among whites and 38 percent among blacks. They have never recovered. As Gallup notes, “Since 2013, Americans’ overall positive perceptions on race have cooled, and perceptions among blacks have soured considerably.” Propaganda works.

...Getting neither satisfaction nor any corrective truth from President Barack “If I had a son” Obama, militants transformed their anger into action. The most radical of these activists formed Black Lives Matter (BLM), a group whose website traces its founding “to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer, George Zimmerman.”

In August 2014, a year and a month after Zimmerman’s acquittal, protesters chanting “black lives matter” torched the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson and left much of it in ruins. Ferguson represented the second major racial conflagration in two years rooted in a hoax, this time, “Hands up, don’t shoot.” The media chose not to notice.

Nationwide, but especially in cities where rioting followed lethal police–citizen encounters, cops instinctively began to pull back from actively policing black neighborhoods. Sensing opportunity, criminals moved into the void.

...The murder rate began a steady decline once Barack Obama left office, but God knows what the final body count will be when the “Minneapolis effect” runs its course. Once again, the great majority of the dead will be black. This time, God willing, the young African Americans who survive may demand real answers as to why their brethren had to die.

"In 2020 it is the Democrats who should lose big."

In Behind the Black, Robert Zimmerman writes in part,
Biden is only the figurehead. It is the body of the now very corrupt, anti-American, and radical Democratic Party that must be killed, thoroughly and at all levels, including the House, the Senate, and in every state, city, and local council election.

...Above all, don’t be afraid to vote for an unfamiliar name. Voting for incumbents at the local levels in urban Democratic strongholds is one of the reasons we are now where we are, with local Democratic Party political leaders endorsing rioting and violence while calling for the shuttering of police departments, even as they simultaneously call for strict gun control laws that will disarm all ordinary law-abiding citizens.

These Democrat local leaders have even made it a point — in their fear of COVID-19 — to release thousands of criminals from prison (many of which were convicted for violent crimes), even as they imposed strict house arrests on the general law-abiding public while shutting down religious gatherings and bankrupting legal businesses.

...Should Trump and the Republicans win nationwide in November, and then fail to bring major sweeping changes in Washington and elsewhere in the next four years, then maybe after a crushing defeat in 2020, a renewed Democratic Party in 2024 will give Americans a new option, and should then, and only under those conditions, be given a second chance.

...Either way, in 2020 it is the Democrats who should lose big. They have become a party of power-hungry criminals, of corrupt bureaucrats working to overthrow the government, of looters and rioters, of illegal immigrants, of lock downs and masks, and finally of economic bankruptcy because they are touting socialism and communism as our future, ideologies that have always failed whenever tried.

Americans have fallen in love with their fear of COVID-19

In the Behind the Black blog, Robert Zimmerman writes in part,
We are now serfs to the state, our lives constricted by its desires to tell us how to live, in sometimes the most trivial manner. For now and into the future for generations, our political leaders will have the power to clamp down on us, shoving their boots onto our faces, whenever any minor flu epidemic might appear on the horizon.

Worst of all, too many people seem okay with this. To go back to normal means we all finally admit that COVID-19 is no longer a threat, that in fact it was never that much of a threat. This too is unacceptable. Americans have fallen in love with their fear of COVID-19, and no facts are going to dissuade them from giving up that love.

New travel ban proposed

From the satirical Babylon Bee:
Democrats Demand Travel Ban On Slovenia To Prevent More Supermodel First Ladies From Invading America

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Democrats, outraged by the beauty and poise of Melania Trump, are demanding an immediate travel ban to prevent further supermodel First Ladies from entering the country in the future. The recommended travel ban would include Melania Trump's home country of Slovenia, as well as several other Eastern European countries known for beautiful women interested in migrating to America.

"This is nothing short of an invasion!" said Becky McTweebly, a professional activist and cat mom. "These women are coming into this country stealing our modeling jobs and our First Lady jobs! They are marrying our billionaires and stealing hearts with their charming accents! This must stop!"

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is expected to draft legislation entitled The Preventing Hostile Foreign Invaders Act, which would ban all immigration of attractive women from Eastern Europe. Bill Clinton is the only Democrat who has come out in opposition to this legislation. He gave no reason for this opposition, although experts say it's probably just because he's really gross.

A petition demanding an immediate travel ban has gathered 8 signatures thus far, 5 of which have the same name as Becky McTweebly.

Facebook bias against conservatives

In Life Site, Calvin Freiburger writes about Facebook bias against conservatives.
From Facebook, two whistleblowers came forward recently to attest that the platform aggressively discriminates against conservatives on a global scale for the purpose of influencing election outcomes.

One provided footage of content moderators openly discussing how they would like to delete “every Donald Trump post I see on the timeline” and “delete all Republicans ... for terrorism” if they so much as post a photo “wearing a MAGA hat.” Cognizant service delivery manager Demian Gordon can also be seen saying he would not hold staff accountable for taking down Trump posts on the grounds that they “gotta get the Cheeto (Trump) out of the office.”

The other described witnessing moderators “deleting on average 300 posts or actioning 300 posts a day” in a way “that just targeted conservatives or favored liberals,” with personnel equating Trump supporters with violent hate groups, while expressly making an exception for overtly-hateful posts by the moderators’ LGBT allies in the name of supporting Pride Month.

ArLuther Lee, reports in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
Administration officials at the University of Alabama reportedly have ordered the school’s professors to keep quiet about the coronavirus amid an outbreak that infected more than 500 students during the first week of classes.

Faculty in multiple departments said they received emails this week telling them not to discuss the situation in classrooms and to keep students in the dark if they became aware of anyone contracting the virus, according to an exclusive report by The Daily Beast.

History repeating itself

From the satirical Babylon Bee:
Leftists Fight Fascism By Marching Through Streets Forcing Everyone To Perform Their Special Salute

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Leftists announced a bold new tactic to eradicate fascism from the land today: marching in lockstep through the streets and accosting anyone who doesn't chant their slogans and perform their special salute.

"We did it! We defeated fascism!" cried one elated protester after the mob accosted a woman in the street and screamed in her face for not performing their salute, in which their arms were raised at a 45-degree angle. "Great job, everyone! Free milkshakes for everyone!" They then threw milkshakes at random passersby.

As for citizens who don't perform the special salute, mobs are organizing camps for them to be reeducated in. Should people not own a car to drive to the camps, they will be sent via public transportation, possibly a train.

At publishing time, mob leaders had purchased some matching brown uniforms for everyone so you can easily recognize who the good guys are.

Trump also slammed Biden for pledging to “abolish the production of American oil, coal, shale, and natural gas – laying waste to the economies of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico. Millions of jobs will be lost, and energy prices will soar. These same policies led to crippling power outages in California just last week.”

In PJ Media, Victor Davis Hanson writes in part,
For the majority of Americans who do not buy into the revolution, it all seems so surreal — and hypocritical.

Only a despised, dynamic American economy allows millions to divorce from it for a summer of protest.

A ridiculed U.S. Constitution ensures that looters and arsonists have due process.

The Bill of Rights guarantees peaceful assembly and electrically amplified profanity rarely protected elsewhere.

Affirmative action; federally ensured and subsidized college grants and loans; and cheap smartphones, headphones, and laptops all give youth choices unimagined in the past.

No matter — cultural revolutions are incoherent and nihilist.

...The point of the mob is to wipe out what it cannot create.

It topples what it can neither match nor even comprehend.

It would erode the very system that ensures its singular freedom, leisure, and historic affluence.

The brand of the anarchist is not logic but envy-driven power: to take it, to keep it, and to use it against purported enemies — which would otherwise be impossible in times of calm or through the ballot box.

In PJ Media, Bryan Preston wrote,
The RNC video montage on China referred to its deviousness and its Thousand Talents Program. It's industrial-scale theft to the tune of about $1 trillion a year strategically spent by the communists to take advantage of our open universities and frankly, our naivete about Beijing's intentions.

Thousand Talents started in 2008. Biden either didn't know or didn't care or both. Trump is unleashing DOJ to stop that technological espionage that's happening on our soil.

Trump's huge Mideast achievement

David Goldman (Spengler) writes in PJ Media,
At Law and Liberty, I argue that President Trump’s “America First” stance is a positive for peace in the Middle East. The Israel-UAE peace agreement is the best thing that has happened to the region since Anwar Sadat made peace with Israel forty years ago. Key takeaway:

More than his personal diplomacy, Trump’s “America First” policies deserve credit for the agreement, the administration’s clearest achievement in foreign policy. By eschewing American military intervention in the region, Trump pushed the regional players to rise to the occasion. The mortal leap was more difficult for Prince Zayed, and will be for the Saudis and others who follow his lead, because Sunni radicalism remains a formidable force in the region—with funding and encouragement from Qatar and Turkey. The fact that energy-self-sufficient America no longer needs to play policeman in the Persian Gulf, and has wearied of sacrificing blood and treasure in regional wars, compels the Gulf states to act responsibly as a matter of self-preservation. As long as the Gulf States remained de facto US protectorates, they could claim that the “Arab Street” stood in the way of relations with Israel. Now that they have to take responsibility for their own defense, they look to Israel for help.

Trump drew fire in October 2019 when he announced that the small contingent of US forces in Syria would leave, effectively leaving Russia as the dominant outside power. The widely-predicted disaster never happened. Russia has limited the scope of Turkish influence among the remaining radical Sunni fighters and allowed Israel to pound Iranian positions throughout. The UAE-Israel agreement opens new possibilities for Syrian reconstruction.

“America First” has worked wonders in the Middle East. The utopians who tried to remake the Middle East into a set of Western-style democracies created a disaster. When George W. Bush forced majority rule onto Iraq, he got a sectarian Shi’ite state that allied with Iran. The Sunni minority who had ruled Iraq under Saddam Hussein lost its state protection, and inevitably sought the protection of “non-state actors,” that is, al-Qaeda and ISIS. As Mike Flynn warned in 2012, the Obama administration’s support for Sunni radicals fighting the Assad regime in Syria helped ISIS emerge. Russia intervened in Syria in 2015–as a former Israeli national security advisor explained to me–because the country had become a Petri dish for terrorists who threatened Russia’s Muslim southern flank.

Donald Trump rejected “endless wars” to export democracy to countries that had no clue what it might be. He wants to get American soldiers out of harm’s way. And guess what? The locals figured out that without America around as global cop, they had better come up with their own solutions. The Trump administration used its good offices to help the Gulf States to act in their own best interests, and the UAE’s Prince Sayed stepped up to the plate.

The whole essay can be found here.

Vile smugness and condescension

C0-blogger CBD writes in part in the Ace of Spades blog,
One of the significant downsides to living in a metropolitan area is the vile smugness and condescension that is displayed on every street corner and at every cocktail party and brunch and casual conversation. The trivial fact that these pompous asses live in Park Slope rather than suburban Kansas City or Montana or Eastern Washington or West Virginia gives them the thoroughly ridiculous impression that they are superior...intellectually; socially, sexually, gastronomically, aesthetically...

It is elitism; pure and simple, and it is misplaced. As a thoroughly unscientific sample, my experience is that if you want to be snubbed and treated rudely and hear all sorts of jingoistic blather about pretty much every topic of import, then spend some time in the blue cities and their suburbs. But if you want to be treated kindly and with compassion and without reference to your skin color or religion or politics, then head to Middle America.

Being glib, or, if you prefer, articulate, is not an indicator of intelligence. Direct your attention to any one of 50 TV news pundits for proof. Being critical and dismissive of others is not an indicator of intelligence or sophistication. It is, however, a powerful indicator of being an asshole.

CNN hosts get new hats

The satirical Babylon Bee reports,
As Part Of Settlement With Nick Sandmann, CNN Hosts Must Wear MAGA Hats During All Broadcasts

ATLANTA, GA—According to a report, as part of the settlement with Nick Sandmann, CNN hosts will be required to wear MAGA hats throughout every broadcast.

"Let the punishment fit the crime," counsel for Sandmann said as Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, Anderson Cooper, and Wolf Blitzer all solemnly donned Make America Great Again caps.

Hosts were seen with downcast expressions as they commented on the day's events, MAGA hats in place.

Sandmann says the hosts will be forced to wear the hats until they've learned their lesson, which could take a while. "Just be careful you don't make an expression some could construe as 'smug.' Wouldn't want you to get punched or your lives to get ruined, or anything like that."

CNN hosts must also finish every broadcast by saying, "Good night, and I am a big, fat dummy, while Trump is the best president we've ever had."

Brian Stelter requested an exemption and was allowed to wear a clown nose instead, as usual.

An opportunity in Sudan?

In the Washington Examiner, Michael Rubin analyzes America's foreign policy failures, but praises Pompeo for taking advantage of an opportunity in Sudan.
The broader lesson here is that diplomacy does not alter the character of rogue regimes. It is the epitome of American arrogance to believe it does. Concessions and sanctions relief often make rogue’s behavior worse. Ultimately, rogue regimes and terror sponsors change when rogue leaders lose power. Sometimes, statesmanship means withholding diplomacy until the time is right and seeking to seize the moment only when the time is right.

Pompeo should be applauded because when it comes to Sudan, he demonstrates his own vision unencumbered by Trump’s dictates. But the importance of Pompeo’s Sudan trip may not lay within Sudan itself. What happens in Khartoum does not stay in Khartoum.

With the coming American embrace of Sudan, Pompeo also shows all those living under Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s rule in Iran that when they free themselves of their leader, they can expect a warm welcome back into the community of nations. Nothing would lay a better foundation for a Pompeo doctrine.

What the live-bloggers are saying

Melania Trump might not enjoy Michelle Obama's fawning press -- I'm being delicate here -- but the hopeful and forgiving message delivered by our current FLOTUS is so much more genuinely American than the former FLOTUS's speech last week that it drives one point home:
America is an idea any foreigner can embrace, and that any native-born can reject.

Stacey Lennox wrote in VodkaPundit,
Melania is beautiful, cultured, smart, and sincere in her love for children. The left hates her for all this.

So many minority speakers talking about thinking for themselves. The Democrats' and left's memes on this could not be any MORE offensive. The way Tim Scott, Herschel Walker, Kim Klacik, and Vernon Jones were treated today is not okay in America. I fear Daniel Cameron will be treated similarly tomorrow. This is antithetical to the promise of MLK. It is the GOP that believes in that promise. Content of character. Not color of skin.

Rand Paul praises Trump

In PJ Media, Tyler O'Neil brings us highlights of Rand Paul's speech tonight.
On Tuesday at the Republican National Convention (RNC), Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) delivered a powerful speech supporting President Donald Trump. While Democratic nominee Joe Biden is running on his support for the Black Lives Matter movement, Paul flipped the script on criminal justice reform.

“President Donald Trump gets things done,” Paul declared. “While others talked about criminal justice reform, President Trump signed the First Step Act, the first real reform in a generation, and one that sought to undo the harm that others, like Joe Biden, have done.”

“For those of us that lament the Biden crime bill that locked up a generation of young black men, remember, Biden bragged about a bill that still wreaks havoc among people of color,” he added. Indeed, then-Senator Biden bragged in 1993 that “every major crime bill” had his name on it.

Paul also praised Trump for bringing American troops home and refusing to fight endless wars, a key argument for libertarians. While the president has invested money in rebuilding America’s military, he has also reduced America’s military presence abroad.

“I’m supporting President Trump because he believes as I do that a strong America cannot fight endless wars,” he said. “We must not continue to leave our blood and treasure in Middle East quagmires.”

“President Trump is the first president in a generation to seek to end war rather than start one. He intends to end the war in Afghanistan. He is bringing our men and women home,” the senator added.

“Compare President Trump with the disastrous record of Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden, who consistently called for more war,” Paul said. “Joe Biden voted for the Iraq War, which President Trump has long called the worst geopolitical mistake of our generation. I fear Biden will choose war again. He supported war in Serbia, Syria, and Libya. Joe Biden will continue to spill our blood and treasure. President Trump will bring our heroes home.”

“If you hate war like I hate war…if you want us to quit sending $50 billion to Afghanistan for luxury hotels and natural gas to stations…you need to support President Trump for another term!”

Paul concluded with a powerful warning against the Left’s radical deconstruction. “To those of you who want to stand up and fight the socialists poisoning our schools and burning our cities — join me in supporting President Trump,” he said.

We want jobs and innovation, like tapping the potential of the Port of Baltimore to create manufacturing jobs for Americans. We want lower taxes. We want school choice. We want a chance to get ahead, not just get by! That's what President Trump promised. And that's what Trump delivered!"

Tonight might not be as good

Ace of Spades writes about night two of the RNC:
Tonight's speakers aren't grabbing me. They include Fascist Gardener Melania Trump, discussing her "Be Best" campaign, libertarian drip Rand Paul, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Eric and Tiffany Trump, as well as economic adviser Larry Kudlow.

I think Kudlow might be the most important speaker -- he'll be tasked with reminding viewers about the truly historic Trump economy, before it was derailed by a Chinese virus invasion.

"Fear works!"

"The only politician in America who has ever given up power voluntarily was George Washington...and they are toppling his statues!"

Sounds like the Republicans had a good night last night

In PJ Media, Tyler O'Neil tells us the five things he thought were most important about last night's RNC.
1. Tim Scott exposed Biden’s weakness with the black community

2. Vernon Jones is getting off the Democrats’ mental plantation

3. “I wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for you.”
Natalie Harp, a bone cancer survivor who benefitted from Trump’s Right-to-Try policy, gave a powerful speech about the key difference between Trump’s mentality to health care and the pablum the Democrats are selling.

“About 5 years ago, I was the victim of a notoriously deadly medical error. I survived, but only to be diagnosed with a rare and terminal bone cancer. You know, the Democrats love to talk about health care being a human right. A right to what? Well, I’ll tell you. To them, it’s a right to marijuana, opioids, and the right to die with dignity, a politically-correct way of saying assisted suicide,” she declared.

“I was told I was a burden to my family and to my country and that by choosing to die early, I would actually be saving the lives of others by preserving resources for them, rather than wasting them on a lost cause like myself,” Harp recalled. “And when I failed the chemotherapies that were on the market, no one wanted me in their clinical trials, I’d make them look bad.”

“They didn’t give me the right to try experimental treatments, Mr. President. You did. And without you, I would have died waiting for them to be approved,” she added.

Harp warned that “in socialized medicine, you don’t beat the odds, you become the odds. And I would lose my right to try.”

The Republican National Committee (RNC) approved a resolution repudiating the disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)

Allum Bokari reports in Breitbart,
The Republican National Committee (RNC) approved a resolution repudiating the disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the purported “anti-hate” organization that has become a vehicle for smearing conservatives and critics of radical leftism.

The resolution commits the RNC to officially “Refuting the legitimacy of the Southern Poverty Law Center to identify hate groups.”

The SPLC bills itself as an expert on “hate groups,” maintaining a “hate map” that tracks them around the country. However, the SPLC has repeatedly added mainstream conservative organizations to its list, smearing their reputation and allowing violent far-left criminals to locate and target them.

The RNC resolution notes that the SPLC’s smears “puts conservative groups or voices at risk of attack.”

Conservatives and critics of progressivism that have been smeared by the SPLC include the Family Research Council (which is currently part of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom), the Alliance Defending Freedom, White House speechwriter Stephen Miller, One America News reporter Jack Posobiec, moderate Muslim Maajid Nawaz, and Islam critic Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Nawaz successfully sued the SPLC for falsely labeling him an “anti-Muslim extremist” in 2018, winning a $3.3 million settlement from the organization.

In 2012, far-left radical Floyd Corkins used the SPLC’s “hate map” to locate the offices of the Family Research Council.

He proceeded to the FRC’s offices with a loaded pistol, and opened fire on the office’s security staff before being stopped by an armed guard.

He later told authorities that he planned to kill “as many people as he could” at the FRC, and explained that his crime was politically motivated — he had seen the FRC on the SPLC’s list of “anti-gay” organizations.

Court records submitted by the FBI confirmed that Corkins, a former far-left activist, had indeed checked the SPLC website prior to his attack:

Corkins left and returned the next day, Friday, August 10th, to pick up the pistol. The selection and surveillance of the FRC and other targets. Consistent with his statement to the FBI, a subsequent search of Corkins’s family computer revealed that on the afternoon of Sunday, August 12th, Corkins used the computer to visit the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Website, as well as the Websites for the FRC and the second organization on his handwritten list.

Despite the fact that the SPLC has lost defamation lawsuits and has served as an inspiration for acts of domestic terror, major corporations continue to rely on it to identify “hate groups” and “hate speech.” In 2018, the Daily Caller revealed that Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Twitter all work with the discredited far-left organization.

The full text of the RNC’s resolution can be found here, and is copied below:

WHEREAS, The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a far-left organization with an obvious
bias;

WHEREAS, The SPLC makes a practice of incorrectly labeling persons and organizations as
“hate groups”;

WHEREAS, The actions of the SPLC have served to mobilize persons to act in hate and violence
towards those on its “hate group” list;

WHEREAS, The Family Research Council suffered a violent attack due to its support of the
traditional family, which the SPLC has deemed as hateful;

WHEREAS, The Obama Administration legitimized the SPLC and acted upon their request that
the federal government formally identify individuals and organizations as “hate groups;”;

WHEREAS, The SPLC was further legitimized when the Obama-Biden Administration gave
them the ability to provide input to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); and

WHEREAS, Legitimizing the SPLC puts conservative groups or voices at risk of attack;
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the SPLC is a radical organization, and that the federal government should
not view this organization as a legitimate foundation equipped to provide actionable information
to DHS or any other government agency

Trump accepts the nomination

In the American Thinker, Andrea Widburg writes about the first night of the Republican convention. Trump was nominated on the first day of the convention. He accepted his nomination with a rousing speech.
Trump rounded out his speech with a laundry list of his accomplishments. When he said, "We've accomplished more than just about any administration in the history of our country," he meant it. Trump recited border enforcement, the wall, job creation (which is returning), destroying ISIS, killing Soleimani and al-Baghdadi, appointing 300 new federal judges, bringing back manufacturing, strengthening a depleted military, replacing unfair trade deals, unleashing America's energy sector, killing the individual mandate, protecting the Second Amendment, lowering drug prices...and that was only part of what he named.

"Riot Police Unsure If Their Tear Gas Worked Since Libs Were Already Crying"

From the satirical Babylon Bee:

PORTLAND, OR—Riot police used tear gas on the Portland mayor and protesters last night, which is crazy because they were just trying to warm themselves by a harmless fire they started in a federal building.

But the riot police soon encountered a problem: they weren't able to tell if their tear gas was even effective, since the libs were already crying uncontrollably before they were hit with the tear gas.

"Liberals are always shedding tears, so how do we even tell if it worked?" asked one confused federal agent after firing another can into the crowd. "Seems like this would be pretty redundant."

The liberal tears continued to flow, whether or not riot police fired gas into the crowd. Finally, the police shrugged and left the protest, since the protesters just kept crying.

"Mission accomplished, I guess," said one officer. "Hey, Carl, wanna go kidnap some Antifa thugs?"

In mid-March of 2020, the United States of America became a socialist country, despite President Trump's promise in his State of the Union address one year prior. To those who lost their non-essential jobs, those who met empty shelves, those who discovered that their "free" education was too costly, those driven insane by incessant fear-mongering, and those faced with capricious and nonsensical restrictions — welcome to socialism. Deceived by the arrogance of science and appeal to authority, or perhaps with false science to mask nefarious motives, public health and safety were used as a contrivance to replace liberty, freedom, and democracy with the Game of Socialism, in which (elected) tyrants play with our lives. Do health and safety trump liberty and freedom, and must we sacrifice one for the other?

The Constitution of the United States provides for no limitation of our liberty, freedom, or democracy in an emergency. Is this because our Founding Fathers had never heard of the Black Death (1347, multiple) or the Great Plague of Marseille (1720) or the Yellow Fever from the Caribbean (1793) or smallpox (vaccine 1770)? Why, then, did they limit powers in the face of such great calamities?

Absent such powers, the federal government cannot take advantage of panic, real or contrived, to tyrannize the states or the people, and with the 9th and 14th Amendments, neither can the states (or cities) tyrannize their people. The protections of our Constitution have been eroded over the last century by a crisis culture that has people abandoning liberty for (illusory) safety, as notes Robert Higgs,

Socialist medicine transforms doctors into highly paid executioners of the elderly, weak, and infirm.

...Social media trolling and unethical reporting exaggerated a cold into a plague, and socialist health and safety advocates panicked the world into surrendering liberty and implementing socialism. All of the damage attributed to COVID-19 was instead caused by the socialism meant to protect us. COVID-19 is a pandemic of socialism.

America has always favored strong political leaders and rejected the weak. We need ballsy politicians to confront the socialist nonsense masquerading as health and safety. Elect Biden, who embraces health and safety, and the socialists pulling his strings will abuse the "Crisis Constitution" to give us COVID-19 every day.

Kellyanne Conway is the best!

I feel so badly for her terrible dilemmas in her personal life with her daughter and husband. We need to stand by her like Trump has! (and like she has stood by Trump)
