Covid-19, followed by the lockdowns, followed by mayhem!

Another Supreme Court ruling today has conservatives upset. Bush-appointed Roberts seems to hate Trump. Court rules that DACA cannot be overturned by A Trump Executive Order, even though Obama set it up through an Executive Order!

Andrew's guest in the second half of the program is Jessie Lee Peterson who grew up on a plantation in Alabama and has never felt like a victim. It was a family atmosphere emphasizing love for America, freedom to go to a black college or to attend a trade school. Since the civil rights movement, blacks have been taught to feel like they are victims.

Jessie has spent his life trying to help young black men on a right path. "Rebuilding the family by rebuilding a man!" (rebuildingaman.com). His latest book is From Rage to Responsibility.

"Solemn," "Heavy Heart," but "Merry Impeachmas from the Washington Post team!"

Nancy won't take "any more questions on impeachment," and "may not send the articles of impeachment to the Senate!"

Most of today's show is about impeachment, but the last few minutes are wonderful, because Andrew talks about rejoicing in the Good News of Jesus Christ.

"When the president tells you he fired me, I really will have quit!"

Today, Andrew examines the question as to whether we should bomb Iran in retaliation for Iran's bombing of Saudi oil production facilities. On the one hand, there is Senator Lindsey Graham who wants Iran to "pay a price." On the other hand, there is Senator Rand Paul, who never wants to fight anyone.

Andrew says it is an easy choice: the Iranians are bad guys who want to destroy us. The Saudis are bad guys who want to work with us. Trump thinks out loud as a microphone is shoved into his face. He goes back and forth thinking about what to do. As Andrew says, you never know what to do with Iran. Hillary's vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine blames Trump's sanctions on Iran as the cause of Ian's actions. Iran wants to draw us in. Trump is doing the right thing to avoid doing that, says Andrew.

Why has it taken years for the gay community to hold Ed Buck accountable? Or the politicians like Adam Schiff and Gavin Newsome?
And what about the abortion doctor in South Bend? Mayor Pete hopes it "doesn't get caught up in politics!"

Andrew's guest is Chris Rufo who writes for City Journal. Chris speaks about the addiction crisis (heroin, fentanyl, and meth), combined with progressive policies that have turned into regimes of permissiveness. The "New Left Urbanists" think that for every problem there is a physical infrastructure solution. Chris believes we have got to get conservatorship laws in place at the state and local levels for seriously mentally ill persons like schizophrenics and people with bipolar disorders who may have drug addiction problems on top of that. There is also a magnet effect of permissive policies, decriminalization policies, no-strings-attached benefit policies. Chris wants emergency shelter facilities to be built, and to disallow camping on the streets.

America's addiction problems

On today's program Andrew continues with his Leftese dictionary. "H is for History." In that segment Andrew shows examples of how Hollywood has distorted truth in order to push its Leftist agenda.

Ryan Hampden is Andrew's guest. He has written a book (American Fix) about America's opioid addiction problem and how to end it. He believes the opioid addiction problem may be the one issue that can unify Republicans and Democrats. We have an addiction problem in America to all sorts of substances! Most important intervention? Having a peer community you can plug into after treatment.

Purdue Pharma is America's number one drug cartel, according to Ryan. He led a protest there, attended by over 500 families who had lost loved ones. They created this crisis! They made over 13 billion dollars piled on top of American corpses! Three of their executives were convicted of (something) and fined hundreds of million dollars. Ryan was told the drugs were safe and nonaddictive.

23 million people are living in long recovery from addiction. Another 22 million are currently addicted! One in three households is directly impacted.

Andrew sees a way the Right can take back the culture by making sure that all voices are heard. The Left, on the other hand, has become censorious, cowardly, mob-like and have lost touch with what free speech means.

"Right back at ya!", Culture, Feminism, Hate

"No border, no wall, no USA at all!" That was the chant shouted out by Leftist mobs in DC over the weekend. Groups called "anti-hate groups" by the media tell reporter Benny Johnson of the Daily Caller the violence they would like to inflict on Donald Trump, from punching him to murdering him. Hello, Secret Service? Are you watching?

Louis Farrakhan wonders if we will recognize Satan. I'm looking at him, Louis! You can also see and hear Farrakhan because he has not been banned from social media. The New York Times is not banned either, even though they have just hired a person for their editorial board who is a racist.

Andrew points out that all the hate is on the left, yet it is the right that is getting censored. Andrew does not understand why people go to work at the New York Times knowing that it is an hate-filled dishonest paper where their top op-ed guy, Thomas Friedman, is saying they should do everything they can to destroy an opposition candidate, Donald Trump.

Cassie Dillon is Andrew's guest today, talking about feminism's waves. The first wave was the right to vote. The second was going into the workforce. The third wave is intersectionality and the hatred of men. She thinks feminists try to put her in a box. For instance, she wants a firearm for protection. She also believes feminism has had the result of men not knowing how to talk to women anymore. To Andrew, it seems that younger men are angrier with women than men of his generation were at the same age.

Reagan was shaped by the culture of the 40s and 50s, a world of religion, respect, and heroes. After 1968 the Left has been in control of the culture. Trump is a product. Reality t.v. Rudeness. The Left made our system of manners a mental prison. They made character assassination a form of argument. If we don't shape the culture, the Left shapes it. Trump gave it all right back at them and it blew up in their faces!

Hiding what they did and what they have become

Andrew Klavan writes at PJ Media,
The resignation of White House staff secretary Rob Porter is a big scandal because Democrats and their news media are pumping it up to distract the public from the truly enormous scandal of the Obama administration's apparent illegal spying on the Trump campaign and its apparent scuttling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. There is some reason to expect that this strategy — like many another Democrat attack on Trump — is going to blow up in the attackers' faces.

Porter resigned after two of his ex-wives alleged that he beat them. Porter denies the allegations. If the charges are true, it is certainly a scandal, but a minor one. Unlike the Obama administration's widespread corruption, it does not make the people more or less free. It does not make us richer or poorer. It does not make us safer or less safe. It's a competence foul-up. They happen.

But as I was flying back to Los Angeles from Washington, D.C. the other day, I found myself flicking back and forth between conservative Fox News and leftist CNN for an hour or so. Fox covered the budget negotiations. CNN covered Rob Porter. Fox covered the Obama spying scandal. CNN covered Rob Porter. Fox covered Rob Porter. CNN covered Rob Porter. Fox covered the war in Syria. CNN covered Rob Porter. And on and on. On CNN, it was Rob Porter all night long.

The Porter scandal has a lot to offer the left. If they bring enough pressure and the president is foolish enough, it might cost Chief of Staff John Kelly his job. Kelly has done a lot to bring order to this chaotic White House. The left would love to see him go. The scandal also helps Democrats sell their narrative that Trump is anti-woman. No doubt Trump's demeanor and past behavior offend many women and that's too bad. But women's lives and the state of the union are both better off under his administration. The left needs to keep women outraged and gullible to hide that inconvenient truth.

But most of all, the little Porter scandal is something to cover while covering up the slowly leaking story of an Obama administration that used the levers of power — the IRS, the State Department, the Department of Justice and the FBI — as weapons against its political opponents, as well as the connected scandal of a press so biased that it turned a blind eye to what Obama was doing.

So far it seems the public isn't buying the news media's attempt to cover its own and Obama's wrongdoing. A new IDB/TPP poll shows that 55% of those polled feel it is "likely" that the Obama administration "improperly surveilled the Trump campaign during the 2016 election." Fifty-four percent want a special counsel to investigate.

And this could get worse for the Democrats and their press. One of Porter's ex-wives says she told the FBI about Porter's physical abuse during their security clearance investigation of the man. If that's true, it raises the question: Who leaked these allegations to the press? If it was the FBI, were they running their own attempt to distract the public from their apparent malfeasance during Trump's campaign? And did the FBI tell John Kelly about the allegations and, if not, why not?

Many in our mainstream press have been biased to the point of corruption for a long time. They attempted to spike the Monica Lewinksi scandal to protect Bill Clinton. They attempted to frame George W. Bush with fake documents. But even that level of bias is not as bad as what happened next. Their desire to hide the deep corruption of the Chicago-like Obama machine led the press down a dark path into willful blindness and now actual cover-up.

Rather than reform themselves, our journalists will do anything in their power to hide what they did and what they've become. That's why they're pushing the Porter scandal so hard.

Is Trump stabbing his supporters in the back? Blue pill, Red pill.

Is Trump stabbing his supporters in the back on the DACA issue? Do we care? Andrew just wants the rule of law to be enforced. Illegal immigration has been greatly reduced, although lately, it does seem to be on the rise again, from what I have read. Andrew believes Trump is getting the gears of government up and running again after eight years of Obama jamming things up.

Andrew lived in Europe seven years. He loved the layers of history to be found in Rome. He also loves London. There is nothing like the Alps in Switzerland.

Are you a man struggling with lust? Andrew's father gave him this advice: always remember that the female person you are talking to has a human being inside! She is not just a form and shape, but is a person with an entire universe inside!

Celebrities wrapped up in their bubble! Conservatism is now the voice of humor, especially on Twitter.

The Matrix: The blue pill: The entire world is an illusion. Human beings are being used to power machines. Democrats, to take power from you, give you the illusion you are living in a world of virtue if you espouse their agenda. People are posting videos on YouTube about taking the red pill, and thinking their own thoughts and forming their own beliefs, not following the advice of people who you thought cared for them.

The Savior is born

At First Things Andrew Klavan writes about a wonderful Christmas eve.
Every idea comes with its own history, but this fact doesn’t make it false. The genesis of a belief is no disproof of it. The truth remains true, no matter how or why we came to find it. If there is a higher, spiritual, supernatural world, it stands to reason that this everyday, material, natural world is only the language in which it speaks to us. So maybe my psychology was just Christ’s way of reaching me, his doorway into my heart. Maybe Mina’s loving kindness was just an image of his. Maybe the beauty of Christmas was just a symbol of his beauty. Maybe that picture on the wall was a story he was telling me: I who seem fearsome in the mind’s darkness will reveal myself to be your savior by the light of day.

What is truth?

Two of my favorite human beings discuss what is truth. Bill Whittle says truth is an external condition of what is real. Andrew Klavan points us to the Ultimate Truth, the Light.

The debate is over. The science is settled. We'll revoke your invitation to speak. Because we support diversity. It's an Islama-homophobic-war-on-women. You're being audited. You're under arrest.
