"Weiner rises again!"

That is the headline Jim Treacher puts on a story at PJ Media about Anthony Weiner being released from a halfway house.

It's a conspiracy!

Prosecutors: Anthony Weiner Should Spend Two Years in Prison
—Ace

That'll keep him from masturbating, I figure.

From the New York Post: Weiner knew damn well she was a minor.

Legal papers filed ahead of Weiner’s sentencing next week say the serial sexter took part in three video chat sessions via Skype during which the girl "made clear that she was not just a minor -- she was, in fact, only 15 years old."
"That did not stop Weiner," the feds wrote.

And Rachel Maddow created a conspiracy theory claiming that all of this crap -- the initial disclosure of the sexts, back in 2011 -- was a forgery by right-wingers. And, by the way, her conspiracy theory resulted in many innocent people, including myself, getting targeted by harassers, stalkers, and death-threat anonymous emailers.

She's never paid a price for that -- she's never even been asked about it by any of her media buddies who claim to be so opposed to conspiracy theories and the downstream damage they may cause.

New facts uncovered in Weiner sexting case

At the WhoWhatWhy website today, Matthew Harvey, Michael Dwyer, Jonathan Z. Larsen, and Russ Baker report,
On Friday, former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) accepted a plea deal in a Manhattan courtroom to a charge of “transfer of obscene material to a minor.” WhoWhatWhy has learned that much of what we know about this crime — which played a major role in the outcome of the election — is a lie.

...A WhoWhatWhy investigation has uncovered numerous substantive falsehoods and mischaracterizations — raising doubts about a case that changed the 2016 election and American history:

• The girl was presented in news accounts — and Weiner’s plea deal — as being 15 at the time, that is, under the age of consent in her state. She was not.

• Weiner’s victim and her family were not, as represented, Clinton fans — they actually were strong Trump enthusiasts. Her story was trusted in part because she was characterized as having no axe to grind with Clinton or the Democrats.

• Weiner’s “sexting” partner was not simply a victim. Contrary to tabloid accounts, she initiated the contact with Weiner. And she went out of her way to seek advice from a GOP-associated figure behind prior efforts to harm Weiner and other Democrats.

...Since then, WhoWhatWhy has uncovered new information that shatters the commonly accepted narrative, which was first laid out by the pro-Trump, widely read British tabloid Daily Mail on September 21.

A key break came when, utilizing an array of sophisticated forensic techniques, we uncovered the girl’s true identity. We verified that we had the right person with four individuals close to or connected to her — including her former teacher and her own mother. By identifying the girl, we were then able to learn a great deal about her and her family. And that in turn led to the discovery of the lies.

The young woman has since turned 18, but because she was a minor at the time, we have decided not to publicly identify her.

According to the media accounts of this story and Weiner’s plea deal, the girl “had not attained the age of 16 years.”

However, our research shows that the girl was in fact not “15 and a sophomore” as the Daily Mail reported, when she initiated contact with Weiner. A court record shows that she was just shy of her 17th birthday at the time she approached him.

In addition, her extensive social media footprint provides further evidence. For example, she posted a picture in 2014 on her 15th birthday after having been given a North Carolina learner’s permit.

The lie that she was 15 years old when Weiner sent her obscene material seems clearly designed to produce the maximum public outrage and put Weiner in greater legal jeopardy — and the media-generated uproar may well have compelled the authorities to become involved and seize the computer with Clinton’s emails.

It should be noted that prosecutors, judges and juries view interactions with minors differently, based on the precise age of the minor: 15 is worse than 16, which is worse than 17, the real age of the girl for much of the period during which she interacted with Weiner, and her age when she approached the media.

Under North Carolina law, at 16, she was in fact above the age of consent. Ultimately, this would not matter because Weiner pled guilty to being under the impression that she was only 15, and she was still below the federal age of consent — the standard applicable in the case. Regardless of what he stipulated as part of his plea agreement, among the trove of incriminating messages it published, the Daily Mail provided no evidence that the girl actually told Weiner she was 15, only that she was in high school.

To those primarily focused on Weiner’s illicit behavior with a teenager, these legal definitions may be beside the point. But any lies at all in a matter so crucial — especially ones that have gone unchecked for so long — must be treated as indicative of a larger, politically motivated deception.

Plus, if this “lie,” misrepresentation of fact, or material inaccuracy found its way into a government pleading in what became the United States v. Weiner case, it would have legal consequences. But we may never know, because the way Anthony Weiner’s plea deal is structured inhibits further inquiry by dispensing with the matter while revealing no details about the underlying history.

Issue #2: The victim lied about political loyalties
.
She described herself as a “big fan” of the Clintons. She further stated that she so disliked Trump that if he were elected, she would move to Germany. Thus, she seemed to have no political agenda at all in “outing” Weiner.

However, the girl actually celebrated Trump’s victory on social media. (It should be noted that her various accounts, such as Twitter and Instagram, were set to private after news of Weiner’s plea deal broke. WhoWhatWhy has preserved screenshots of the tweets and Instagram posts in question.)

Her father is a registered Republican. She and her mother tweeted derisively about the Black Lives Matter movement. Her late grandmother was a Tea Party activist. These are not Hillary Clinton fans.

...Incidentally, another falsehood that emanated directly from the original Daily Mail article — that her father is an attorney — found its way into a May 9, 2017, New Yorker piece.

...Beyond the fact that the father is not a lawyer, it may be relevant that he has been arrested numerous times for crimes, including assault by strangulation — according to court records.

No longer a need to hide him away?

Anthony Weiner has left his 90 day addiction treatment program after only 35 days. Ann Althouse has some ideas for him to pursue.

Hio Silver...Away!

Yes, this is Anthony Weiner at his Tennessee sex addiction treatment center. Ace wonders if they also use horseback riding for females.
This weems like a good day to read the comments at Ace of Spades: JuJuBee wrote,
That horse better sleep with his hindquarters against the back of his stall.

Marcus T. observes,
The horses tail is up which means it's about to take a dump. That or he knows who is riding him.

Andrew Mendoza warns,
Anthony, dude, just watch out for the hooves, man.

The horseraper wrote,
Mr Weiner, sir. Lookin' at your uh....riding crop.
I suggest we start you out on chihuahua.

One more. This from BurtTC:
What pisses me off the most about this is equine therapy is real, and it's extraordinarily useful for people recovering from trauma and/or injuries. Like returning military folks.

But narcissistic psychopaths? Not so much.

Thoughts on Anthony Weiner's "sex addiction"

[David Ley, author of "The Myth of Sex Addiction," says] that that “sex addiction” isn’t well-defined, is quite scientifically controversial, and in recent decades has been increasingly used to explain a broad range of bad behavior on the part of (mostly) men. But in a sense, this robs men of their agency, of the possibility that they can control their compulsions and put them in a broader, more meaningful psychological context. “Sex addiction,” in this view, is a lazy and easy way out.

To Ley, all this same logic applies to Weiner’s escapades. To him, pushing behavior like Weiner’s under the umbrella of something called “sex addiction” obscures more than it reveals. It strips away a huge amount of the psychological complexity that drives self-destructive human behavior. “Calling Anthony Weiner a sex addict is a distraction from the important issues of personal responsibility and mindful choice,” he said in an email. “It’s also a sad form of slut-shaming.”

Moreover, Ann Althouse writes,
Quite apart from the laziness of calling it "sex addiction," there's the cheap convenience of packing someone up into an institution — the theater of saying we're doing something about this combined with the practical solution of bundling him away where he's incommunicado.

Who are these people?

h/t Andrew Kaczynski on Twitter

"Irony: a sexual predator brings down the Clinton machine!"

Breitbart commenter "Cat" writes,
..I think they found all 33,000 on Huma's home computer! Now suddenly Hillary and her minions are "demanding" to see all the emails…that THEY thought were acid-washed into oblivion.

Commenter Johnny writes,
their whole scam is falling apart,, huma had the 33K emails for safe keeping on the laptop the pedophilic masturbator was using for his trysts with minors

in essence, a guy with a masturbatory addiction saved the world form the eventual WWIII hillary would have lead us into ,,, now thats a "hands on" proposition LOL.

Commenter RT writes,
Methinks Comey got bombarded by honest FBI agents and with the race closing, needed to get behind both wagons. If HIlary loses she goes to prison, there's no doubt about that. Trump's first move in office will be to fire Lynch and half the DOJ and turn it over to Rudy Guiliani who will prosecute the Clintons under RICO statutes for running an ongoing criminal enterprise.

Johnny again:
the FBI and DOJ were getting shredded ,,, they had to do something,,, i think obama gave the nod ,,, give up hillary ,, just save my legacy

what irony a sexual predator brings down the Clinton Machine...Karma's a bitch!!

In the same moral universe

Does Anthony Weiner matter? Roger Simon writes at PJ Media,
Weiner was a political leader married to the constant companion of a woman running for president who herself continually excused the behavior of her husband, the president, and even lied flagrantly about him to save his reputation on multiple occasions. (Hillary Clinton, as we all remember, made that risible but essentially proto-fascistic claim that her husband's adulteries were a fabrication of the "great right-wing conspiracy.")

...Anthony Weiner is clearly an aberrant, but not entirely accidental, offshoot of a thoroughly corrupt world, largely centered on the Clinton family and their cohorts and minions. The distance between his clandestine sexting on the Internet and some obscure paid operative (now given immunity) secretly wiping/bleaching tens of thousand of emails off Hillary Clinton's home-brew sever is not very much. It is in the same moral universe. The same group of people are doing it.

Bond

Roger L. Simon writes at PJ Media, The Huma Abedin/Hillary Clinton relationship had its beginnings
when young Huma came to work at the White House in 1996, not inconsequentially not long after Monica Lewinsky arrived. This was obviously a time of great vulnerability for Hillary. No wonder she and Huma developed a bond.

But who was Huma? In a recent article, Paul Sperry—who has become something of an Abedinologist—describes the maternal background of the young woman who was born in the USA but spent most of her childhood in Saudi Arabia:

As The Post first reported, Huma’s mom edits the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, which has suggested that America had 9/11 coming to it, because of “sanctions” and “injustices” the US allegedly imposed on the Muslim world.
The journal also opposed women’s rights as un-Islamic, arguing that “ ‘empowerment’ of women does more harm than benefit.

But that’s not all.

In 1999, Saleha translated and edited a book titled “Women in Islam: A Discourse in Rights and Obligations,” published by the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs. Written by her Saudi colleague Fatima Naseef, the book explains that the stoning and lashing of adulterers, the killing of apostates, sexual submissiveness and even female genital mutilation are all permissible practices under Sharia law.

...Coincidentally or not (you decide), this is the same group—the Muslim Brotherhood—whose control of Egypt, under Morsi, was backed by the Obama/Clinton administration under the grounds the MB was ultimately reformist. That turned out be as untrue as it gets. Morsi was plotting for total control in a manner yet more fascist than his Islamist cohort Erdogan, if such a thing were possible. The Obama/Clinton administration, as we know, had already abjured the old secular U.S. ally Mubarak as it would, later, Morsi's also-secular successor al-Sisi.

Is it an accident that the despot that Hillary chose to attack and ultimately urge Obama to destroy was the furthest thing from an Islamist—Muammar Gaddafi? That cleared the way for the Islamists (ISIS, etc.) to move in on Libya. To Obama and Clinton, only Islamist dictators are permissible.

...I'm not suggesting some covert Muslim Brotherhood conspiracy is behind all this, although the MB has profited. I'm suggesting something stranger—a bizarre cocktail of greed and ambition justified by the most tired of leftwing ideology with the decline of the West as the result, the sort of unintended consequence.

Against this background, we watch the dissolution of the pathetic Weiner-Abedin marriage. Where is Tolstoy when we need him?

The communicator

Former Congressman Anthony Weiner, husband of Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, has a new job. Weiner, also known as Carlos Danger, the man who sends women pictures of his penis on the internet, has been hired by a Hillary Clinton donor to fix public relations messes. Seriously!

Carl Campanile writes at the New York Post,
The man who destroyed his own promising political career by botching a 2011 sext-message imbroglio with bald-faced lies — and who then ruined his comeback by running one of the most disastrous mayoral campaigns of all time — will now get paid to dispense advice to high-paying clients of the MWW p.r. firm, sources told The Post.

MWW is headed by Michael Kempner, a prominent New Jersey Democrat who has been a top fund-raiser for both Clinton and President Obama.

Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, is a top political adviser and longtime confidante of Clinton, the leading Democratic presidential candidate and former secretary of state.

Kempner is listed as one of Clinton’s “Hillblazers’’ — having raised more than $100,000 for her campaign since April.

Kempner also was one of the top bundler’s for Clinton’s 2008 bid for the White House, and has hosted Obama at his Cresskill, NJ, home.

The company said it was “pleased to welcome” Weiner to its “board of advisers” and he will dispense wisdom about “the workings of Congress and the City of New York.”

“He is a brilliant strategist [with] expertise on many issues,” the company said.

“[He] will be a great asset to our firm.”

Weiner — who used the moniker Carlos Danger in some of the infamous sexts that led to his fall from grace — does have experience with media crises, just not in handling them well.

He became a nationwide laughingstock in 2011 when he was forced to step down from Congress after lying about sending out an embarrassing image of his penis.

Weiner sent the photo of his manhood in boxer briefs to a 21-year-old female college student in Seattle. After he was caught, he stonewalled for a while, but when additional photos surfaced, he resigned. He then ran for mayor in 2013, claiming he had cleaned up his act.

But his mayoral campaign imploded after he got caught in a second sexting scandal.

He sent pictures of his private parts to then-22-year-old Sydney Leathers, using the Danger name. His campaign staffers were blindsided by the sordid revelations, which destroyed what some saw as a decent chance for redemption.

MWW issued a clarifying statement Thursday morning insisting that Weiner will work on policy, not crisis communications with clients.

The Weiners go apartment hunting

You may have read that Anthony Weiner and his wife, Hillary Clinton's gal pal Huma Abedin, are looking for a less expensive place to live.

Manhatten Infidel notices Weiner's dejection, and offers his services to the couple. To begin, Weiner showed M.I. some pictures of apartments on his phone. They weren't actually pictures of apartments, if you follow what I'm getting at. Read the whole thing here.
