In the American Thinker, Thomas Lifson goes after New York Governor Cuomo.
Disgraceful as was Cuomo's sending thousands to death, his lies and excuses blaming everyone but himself for the carnage are even more repulsive, at least on a rhetorical level.Read the whole thing here.

Democrats erect a permanent steel prison fence around the nation's capitol. Thousands of armed soldiers and law enforcement officers outside the fence. The theme is panic, and it is real! They seem much more afraid now that Donald Trump has left office! They fear that actual populism has begun!
FBI crook Kevin Clinesmith gets off with no jail time. The New Neo notices:
Virtually no consequences sends a signal that such lying is perfectly okay if done by the correct people in the service of the correct side. Clinesmith was the only one of all the miscreants to even potentially be in line to face some sort of punishment, but it was always unlikely it would be doled out to him. And the rest are not only scot-free, but right now they are sitting pretty because their party is back in power.
Not that it was ever out of power as far as the Deep State was concerned.Read more here.
The New Neo.com writes in part,
The increasing use of EOs to institute changes that do not have bipartisan support and that could not have been passed through legislation has another effect: it makes the country’s policies unstable. We’re getting whiplash as a result.Read more here.

Market manipulation by hedgefunds.
Stephen Kruiser wrote in his Morning Brief,
“They want power. They will say and do anything to get and keep it. It’s popular to say that all politicians in Washington are like that, and it may be true to an extent. There are, however, widely varying degrees, The Democrats are hanging out at the corner of Godless and Shameless for this one.”Sundance wrote in the Last Refuge,
Everything from within the DC system is designed to lie to you. Accept that and you begin to realize how events are NEVER what they appear on the surface.Richard Fernandez wrote,
The principal menace of the Narrative keepers is not that they will actually control reality but that they will lose track of it. Records after all, are not made to tell reality where it stands but for reminding us where we are in relationship to the truth. Those would back-edit the world are not strong but weak. They can’t keep their story straight and things keep happening that shouldn’t.Quoted by Glenn Reynolds in Instapundit Glenn Reynolds wrote yesterday in Instapundit,

In the Washington Examiner, Paul Bedard warns that many members of the US Border Patrol are sick with Covid. It is a direct result of Biden's Executive Orders allowing illegal immigrants into the country. Read more here.
Joel Kotkin writes in the American Mind that woke politics are a disaster for minorities in America.
Minorities make up over 40% of the nation’s working class and will constitute the majority by 2032.
Just as traditional liberalism has stopped benefitting the majority of workers, the new progressive version seems likely to fail even more spectacularly. A Biden Administration may coo more and say the “right” things, but it is unlikely to replicate the remarkable success, pre-COVID, of the Trump years, where minority unemployment hit record lows and the incomes of the least grew faster, for the first time in decades, than those of the upper classes. Indeed in a host of areas—starting with energy policy—the Administration embraces blue state priorities that often work against minority uplift and leave most abandoned on the edges of our society.Read more here.

In the Last Refuge, Sundance notes that the events surrounding the stock trading in Gamestock produced the biggest eye-opening series of events in financial history.
♦ First Big Tech jumped-in to protect the hedgefunds. The servers that handled Reddit’s investor discussion “WallStreetBets” were shut down, essentially trying to break down the communication of the rebel alliance. They used the oft-familiar “hate speech” justification, but that was really a ruse… Big Tech was supporting Wall Street.♦ Then the New York Stock exchange stepped-in to protect the hedgefunds by blocking trades of GameStop and other Reddit targeted stocks (Nokia, Blackberry, AMC theaters). Ameritrade also blocked any trades. The NYSE was essentially trying to protect the institutional investors, billionaires, from the citizens, independent investors. Wall Street went to war against day-traders, ordinary Americans.
♦ Then the stock trading App “Robinhood” which was used by the citizens to make their trades, actually stepped-in to stop users from purchasing GameStop shares. The Robinhood app will now only allow sales of GME and the other stocks because the app is protecting the billionaire class from their short position.Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, the entire financial trading system is trying to protect the short-sellers by driving down the shares of stocks so that the short-sellers can get out of their positions. Never has there been such blatant market manipulation by the organized efforts of the elite financial class.Big Tech and Wall Street are working together to keep a rigged system tilted in their favor and their aligned efforts are spotlighting just how rigged that system is. The elites don’t care what happens to the ordinary citizens in the stock market… they are protecting their own status. All of this is brutally illegal market manipulation and collusion by the financial sector.

In Citizen Free Press, Kane brings us a video of Emerald Robinson asking the White House Press Secretary why Biden is allowing Chinese companies access to our electric grid.
Joe Biden has rescinded an executive order of President Donald Trump that was designed to prevent foreign countries meddling with the U.S. power grid. Trump’s order specifically prohibited “any acquisition, importation, transfer, or installation” of bulk-power system (BPS) electrical equipment by “foreign adversaries.”Newsmax reporter Emerald Robinson
John Binder reports in Breitbart,
Biden has also proposed an amnesty for nearly the entire illegal alien population, a policy that would add millions of foreign nationals to the U.S. labor market at a time of mass unemployment where 18 million Americans remain jobless.Read the whole thing here.

Instapundit links to an article in Epoch Times by Roger Simon. In it, Simon praises Libertarian Rand Paul for standing up against the proposed impeachment of Donald Trump. He also notes a poll by Scott Rasmussen. Before the Rasmussen poll, the following GOP Senators were said to favor impeachment.
Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.)After the poll, only five of the above senators remained on the side of impeachment. Go here to see who they are, but don't forget the others!
Good news from the satirical Babylon Bee!
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Trump has been reinstated as president so Democrats in Congress can be sure the impeachment trial will be constitutional. Trump will resume serving as president effective immediately so that Democrats can vote on the article of impeachment filed against him. "We must make Trump president again so we can constitutionally impeach him again," said Chuck Schumer. "It's the only way to be sure. Normally, we don't care about the Constitution, of course, but when you're talking about impeaching Trump, we have to make sure we get it just right." Democrats everywhere approved of the move, saying they have had nothing to live for since Trump left office last week. "I had all these protest signs and nothing to protest," said Portland-area BLM activist Jacob Brier excitedly as he got on his gas mask. "We tried firebombing the local DNC headquarters, but it just wasn't the same. Sure, we could protest Biden starting new wars, but it's more fun to protest war under a Republican president. Feels more righteous-y."

In American Greatness, Victor Davis Hanson informs us that
"...we are beginning a great reprogramming of America. The construction of Trump and all of his supporters as abettors, terrorists, seditionists, and traitors is certainly proving useful. After the Capitol conundrum, we have seen over the past two weeks a coordinated and synchronized effort by Amazon, Twitter, and Google to destroy Parler, " small conservative-friendly rival to their social media and internet monopolies. More of such humanitarian taking care of business will follow—all as preemption for the most leftwing agenda in a half-century now rolling out."
...Before we are all reprogrammed, remember for a bit longer that the reset of memory and truth is not just a political agenda, but a holistic effort to redefine our past, present, and future, to change not just what we think but how we think—or do not think.
This desire to wash all memory away was the secret, after all, to Joe Biden’s virtual candidacy. The implicit promise was always just to vote for nothingness and then all the acrimony, all the rioting, all the fires and looting, all the media craziness, all the cancel culture, all the Twitter wars, all the hysteria would simply vanish with the disappearance of our Emmanuel Goldstein—and a new, undefined but far better world would take its place. And then at last you too could forget the past, and thereby come to love what you’ve become in the present.Read much more here.

Despite the majority of American’s being happy about the U.S. energy independence created by President Trump, it is adverse to the interests of Wall Street and Big Government to lose justification for U.S. troops in the middle-east.
Remember, the vast majority of money into the bank accounts of politicians, their families and bureaucrats within the Deep State, comes from foreign governments.

Oregon Muse informs us there are new rules for us to follow. "The Resistance" is now "the insurrectionist." The police and military are now cool. Rioting is now bad. Fictional movies, plays, and books that depict the assassination of the sitting president as a good thing is now out of style. FLOTUS is now beautiful again. Let a thousand magazine covers bloom. And her accomplishments, no matter how small or inconsequential, are too be praised. Another rule that is still in place is the hate speech/free speech dichotomy, only now the objects have switched. Lastly, it's now OK to cover lighter stuff, like clothes and taste in music, in order to present the human side of the First Couple. So let the puff pieces and the tongue baths commence! It takes a lifetime to figure out who are the good guys and bad guys in politics. I thought George W. Bush was a good guy. Then I saw him nuzzle up to Michelle and Barack, two who I knew were not good guys. How about you? Have you been disappointed by a politician? Have any held true to their word or been reliable? Good bye President Trump, and thank you!
