If you did not participate in the caucus - IT'S BECAUSE IT WASN'T IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO YOU TO DO SO.

Turning around

An event happened Saturday here in Colorado that may have national implications. People came to a Denver suburb from all areas of the state to elect new officers for the Republican Party. Calling themselves grassroots Republicans, and emphasizing conservative values, they voted out the old guard. Transparency, accountability, and integrity were the watchwords of the new chairman, Steve House, who promised not to meddle in primary races. The vice chairman is a black man, and the secretary is a young woman from rural Colorado. The Republican party has new found energy in Colorado.

Now one of the questions will be financing. Will the big donors stick around, or will the little donors have to cough up some bucks? Will there be unity? Will they remember that the Democrats are the "enemy," not fellow Republicans?

Remember, it was in Colorado where the progressives nominated Barack Obama as their candidate in 2008 in front of faux Greek columns. He accepted the nomination in the very football stadium where Colorado's beloved Broncos play football. Four Colorado billionaires got together to finance leftist candidates. Maybe this is a state where liberty-minded folks turn this thing back around.
