No more kneeling

Zack Kelberman reports,
The Denver Broncos are standing together -- literally and figuratively.

In a statement released Thursday via the team's Twitter account, billed as a "message from our players," the Broncos announced they will not kneel during the national anthem at home on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders -- or at any time going forward.

Although the players don't regret their demonstration in Week 3, as "our voices needed to be heard loud and clear," they've decided "we're a team and we stand together -- no matter how divisive some comments and issues can be, nothing should ever get in the way of that."

Keep Gary Kubiak in your thoughts and prayers

Denver Broncos Coach Gary Kubiak will not travel to San Diego for Thursday night's game. Apparently Gary suffers from "complex" migraines. Read more here.

Happy times in Denver

Denver has the best defense. Will it be enough to help them beat Carolina in two weeks?

Broncos "owner" says he is the "blood of the city."

The Denver Broncos might have an ownership problem. Pat Bowlen is battling Alzheimers Disease. His son John has a problem with alcohol and drugs. In this 9-11 call placed by his girlfriend, John gets on the 911 line and assures the operator everything is fine, and that he is "the blood of the city," and "friend of the mayor." He also calls himself the "owner of the Broncos," which is not true.

Thanks to Complete Colorado.

His mom is his rock.

The Denver Broncos might have just improved their pass rush.

Go here to see him with his "rock," his mother.

Just win, baby!

The Denver Broncos want to go back to the Super Bowl. They cannot do it with the offensive line they have now. So they are considering signing this guy:

His name is Richie Incognito. Richie has been incognito since he was released from the Miami Dolphins for bullying teammate Jonathan Martin. Incognito was an All Pro offensive lineman for the Dolphins.

Benjamin Hochman writes:
One time, Richie Incognito approached a woman at a golf event, rubbed a golf club on her private parts, rubbed his own private parts on her backside and then poured a bottle of water on her face, this according to a police report.

And that's like the fifth-worst thing he ever allegedly did.

He is a despicable excuse for a man — but he might just be able to help the Broncos win the Super Bowl.

Oh, well then, okay! As Saul Alinsky might say, you do whatever you have to do to get the power you want. Read more here.

A new NFL season

Peyton Manning embarks on his seventeenth season tonight, as he and his fellow Denver Broncos play the Indianapolis Colts in Denver. I have never seen such excitement and anticipation at the beginning of a Broncos season. Fans are snapping up everything stores can sell that have a Denver Broncos emblem on them.

The game has started, so you can roll up the streets and highways now. All television sets will be turned to one channel. Stores can close their doors and send everybody home.

Update: The game is over. Broncos won 31-24. Next up: the Kansas City Chiefs come to Denver next Sunday afternoon.

It in his eyes

Look at his eyes. Do you see the resemblance between John Elway and Joe Biden?

Coach Jon Fox's hair is the color of Biden's, but Elway's got Biden's eyes. Am I wrong?

Elway said he is proud of what the team accomplished this year, and he is going to fix what needs to be fixed. Don't doubt him.

It's all about the big game

Forgive my dearth of blog posts. I have been hiding out with the low information types. Well, they are not low information about some things; for example, the Denver Broncos. The low information voters can tell you everything you never wanted to know about this weekend's AFC Championship game with the visiting gladiators from New England. Colorado is a sea of orange and blue this weekend. A beautiful day is forecast; it might even reach 60 degrees!

At the store, people are buying every kind of potato chip and dip imaginable.
