This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.
Ace of Spades asks and answers: Shouldn't a historic television pageant be good for the ratings of CNN, the Orange Man Bad network?
Apparently not.
CNN posted its lowest primetime ratings in three years over the Thanksgiving holidays, while Fox News posted higher ratings than CNN and MSNBC combined.
...
It was CNN's worst primetime week in three years, and its worst week among the 25-54 demographic. Here is a video with many CNN pundits saying it was "an historic day." Ace of Spades:
apparently CNN leaned on one of the traditional media companies it is illegally colluding with, and Google -- parent of YouTube -- took down the video at CNN's demand.
I wonder how long this podcast will stay up on YouTube!
Michael believes this demonetizing of Steven Crowder is the most significant change in the character of the internet since YouTube first came online 14 years ago. This is monumental. It means none of us are safe. Coincidentally, it comes right as we head into the 2020 elections. Crowder has almost 4 million subscribers.
Michael does a beautiful job of showing clips of another YouTuber using the same words Crowder used: "queer, gay, etc." Who was it? Carlos Maza, from Leftwing website Vox.com, the man who started this whole pressure on YouTube to get Crowder demonetized for using the same words Maza used to describe himself!
YouTube picking winners and losers, based on ideology, based on opinions they agree with. It is a huge in-kind contribution to the Democratic party and YouTube does not have to disclose the amount of the contribution.
Although Big Tech is protected as platforms, they now are being publishers, even though the government gives them special protections. Michael says now is the time to say enough is enough. This has been creeping up and it is time to stop it.
Zo Rachel is Michael's guest. He points out that leftists are the ones who have created the platforms that conservatives have depended on to get their message out. We are going to have to come up with a conservative competitor and get out of "Crazy folks" back yard. Will this energize conservatives? Leftists world is imagination, not reason.
Michael notes that Big tech gets it both ways, pretending to be platforms when it suits them, then being publishers when promoting ideology. However, Michael believes this behavior by Big Tech will actually help us in 2020, when it is so clear that the culture is stacked against us and the mainstream media is so clearly stacked against us. Donald Trump does very well when he has an adversary.
Michael opens the mailbag with a question about the PRIDE movement (this being Pride month.) The whole purpose of leftist movements is to create enemies, then to create solidarity among everyone who isn't the enemy.
We have a bizarre belief that the purpose of life is to feel happy all the time. We all have to endure suffering at some time in our lives.
In the NOQ Report, JD Rucker informs us that YouTube has demonetized Stephen Crowder!
Conservatives fell for a trap. It’s been over a decade in the making and few of us saw it coming until it was too late. To be fair, this trap was actually so well executed and seemingly coordinated that it’s actually impressive how well it worked. Now, the walls that have been around us the whole time are finally starting to close in.
The trap was to believe that even hyper-leftists in the tech industry would be fair when it came to the use of their platforms. By “fair,” I mean they would accept that there are views that differ from their preferred progressive standpoints and those views are worthy of being expressed on their platforms. For a time, this was true. But as the giants such as Google in search, Facebook and Twitter in social media, and YouTube for video grew to the point that they’re essentially unchallenged and virtually invincible, they’ve now changed their tune. The worst crime anyone who uses their services can commit is to be conservative.
Steven Crowder is learning it again and again with the most recent incident happening today.
...The easy answer to all of this is to abandon the platforms that are unfriendly to conservatives and work only with those who truly appreciate free speech, cordial discourse, and the enterprising nature of Americans. That’s the easy answer, but it’s not an easy solution. You see, the sites that pay the best happen to be Google and their video spawn YouTube. To get the necessary eyeballs on this content, we often rely again on Google as well as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and other progressive giants.
The photo above is of Nasim Aghdam, the woman who shot four people at YouTube headquarters yesterday. Not domestic violence. Nobody present at the YouTube party she crashed knew her. She was Iranian, vegan, a PETA protestor, and very angry at YouTube because of their new policies demonetizing her video content on YouTube. Read more here.
YouTube just censored another one of Prager University’s educational videos, and this time YouTube went after one criticizing censorship.
Prager University also goes by Prager U. The video in question features Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberly Strassel, who explains common tactics leftists use to shut down free speech from conservatives, including intimidation, harassment, and blackmail.
...Beginning in 2010, the IRS intentionally targeted conservative nonprofit groups and delayed approving their tax-exempt non-profit status an attempt to render them politically impotent during the 2012 election, Strassel explains.
In Wisconsin, a Democratic prosecutor went after conservatives in a shadow campaign finance investigation. The real reason for the pre-dawn raids on conservative activists’ homes and the subsequent gag orders legally compelling them to stay quiet about it all were to enact revenge for their support of Republican Gov. Scott Walker, she says.
These are two of several examples she highlights in this five-minute-long video decrying censorship of one’s political opponents, which YouTube decided to censor by placing it on “restricted mode.”It’s common for schools and parents to place their YouTube account on restricted mode to keep obscene or graphic content away from children. But PragerU’s videos, including the aforementioned one about censorship, are G-rated, so it’s unclear why the video platform is placing these videos on the naughty list.
...This isn’t the first time YouTube has censored one of PragerU’s videos. At least 21 others produced by the conservative, nonprofit educational organization have been placed on “restricted mode.”
PragerU is circulating a petition to stop the censorship. At the time of publication, it has more than 76,000 signatures.
