A passerby spotted the new Supreme Court nominee on her way home from work Wednesday night, and sent these pictures to The Daily Caller News Foundation. Kavanaugh was serving meals to the homeless outside Catholic Charities in downtown Washington, less than 48 hours after he was tapped to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy.
According to his D.C. Circuit biography, the judge is a volunteer with the St. Maria’s Meals program, which serves hot dinners to the capital’s poor. During his acceptance remarks on Monday night, the judge mentioned that his Jesuit high school education taught him to be “a man for others.”
A fellow volunteer confirmed that the judge signed up for the event some time ago and chose to keep the date, developments in his professional life notwithstanding.
Really classy move, Your Honor.

We meet Judge Kavanaugh and his family
Trump: "The Supreme Court is entrusted with the safeguarding of the crown jewel of our republic, the Constitution!"
Kavanaugh: "A judge must be independent and interpret the law, not make the law! I teach at Harvard that the Constitution's separation of powers protects individual liberties. ...I am part of the vibrant Catholic community in the DC area. Kavanaugh is proud that most of his law clerks have been women (what is wrong with male law clerks?), and he serves meals to the homeless via Catholic Charities. He coaches girl's basketball, and the girls call him Coach K! His wife is from Abilene, Texas (where I went to college). His first date with his wife, Ashley, was on 9-10-2001. He has run the Boston Marathon twice.
Shannon Breen says that Rand Paul may have problems supporting Kavanaugh. I didn't understand what Rand's concern is.
Sean Hannity plays tape of Clarence Thomas's famous "high tech lynching" by the US Senate during hearings on his nomination, before he served this nation as one of the most distinguished Supreme Court Justices in our history. Now the Democrats will try again to tarnish the name of the newest justice.
Sean had a great lineup of guests, including Judge Jeanine Pirro and Andrew McCarthy, but Sean just could not stop sermonizing, so neither of them were heard from in tonight's program.
