Every minute, an estimated 3.8 million queries are typed into Google. The company exerts increasing control over the results. https://t.co/t26UvVauvw

This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

Even the Wall Street Journal is noticing!
Google algorithms favor the big guys. We little guys surely can't have anything wise or truthful to say. After all, ABC and NBC can each assign a team of reporters to find the truth! (How is that working out?)
"They claim "it's the algorithm," but the algorithm is made -- and repeatedly tweaked and biased -- by intentional human action."
Ace of Spades sees through Google's bullshit. He writes in part,
Here's an example of that: I just googled "John Solomon" to find his most recent reporting, and his own blog, JohnSolomonReports.com.Read more here.
Google answered my query with a page full of media hits on Solomon -- including from the ostensibly-authoritative trash website Daily Beast -- attacking his credibility.
The link to his actual blog did not appear on the first page of results. Frustrated, I opened Bing and searched there.
They do this deliberately. They claim "it's the algorithm," but the algorithm is made -- and repeatedly tweaked and biased -- by intentional human action.

Google continues to flout its power
Another post from Ace of Spades:
Google lists the genre of the biopic and antiabortion film Unplanned as "propaganda"
Hey let's grant them more government favors and immunities, yeah?
Compare to Google's description of Al Gore's environmental fantasy "An Inconvenient Truth" -- listed simply as a "documentary"

The circle that can't be squared
Oregon Muse writes at the Ace of Spades blog,
"Look how the media is covering the leaked video of Google execs boo-hooing over Hillary losing the election. Their take is basically that it will give 'ammo' to conservatives who are charging Google with intentionally biasing the results of its search engine. If the video were different, if it showed Google employees whooping it up and throwing MAGA hats into the air because they were so happy Trump won, you can bet that there would be many chin-stroking think pieces written about how the video calls into question Google's objectivity. But seeing them openly weeping at Hillary's loss apparently doesn't raise that question.
What's really creepy is how full of themselves the Google execs are, like when Google VP Kent Walker answers a question by saying that Google must ensure that the rise of populism doesn’t turn into 'a world war or something catastrophic'. I had no idea that the guys who run Google believe it's their job to keep history on the correct path. I thought that their job was to provide a search engine that they claim everybody can use. Except, of course, for the Chinese, whose authorities cooked up a scheme with Google to let them see only what they allow. Google's only response to the leaked video is to insist, incredibly, that their search engine isn't biased, despite their entire executive and management levels being completely in the tank for the progressive left. So they want us to believe that we, their prospective users, are being presented with a totally neutral, totally objective search engine where nothing is filtered or left out, but on the other hand, they want to bend history along a progressive path. That's the circle that really can't be squared, and I don't think Google wants you to notice."

No bias at Google?
Maybe you, like me, missed this report at the Washington Free Beacon one week after the election of Donald Trump. Joe Schoffstall reported,
Eric Schmidt, the executive chairman of Google's parent company, Alphabet, Inc., was spotted at Hillary Clinton's "victory" party last Tuesday wearing a staff badge, according to a picture recently submitted to Politico.
Google came under fire earlier this year for allegedly altering search results to paint Hillary Clinton in a more favorable light than Donald Trump. Schmidt stated at the time that Google did not pick sides in the presidential race.
"We have not taken a position on the American election and nor do I expect us to," Schmidt said at the time.
Despite this assurance, Schmidt provided funding to a tech startup called The Groundwork, one of the Clinton campaign's biggest vendors.
Michael Slaby, the Obama campaign's chief integration and innovation officer, developed The Groundwork through a company he co-founded called Timshel. The Clinton campaign paid the group $600,000 throughout the election cycle.
Following WikiLeaks' release of hacked emails from the Clinton campaign, the Washington Free Beacon discovered that Schmidt was doing more than funding a Clinton campaign vendor—he was working with the campaign on its technology strategy.
The revelation was contained in a memo sent by Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager, to Cheryl Mills, David Plouffe, and John Podesta on Oct. 26, 2014. The memo's author was Teddy Goff, Clinton's former chief digital strategist. It was addressed to Clinton.
Goff elaborated on the campaign's early "priorities," as well as developments about those priorities. Several times it mentioned the work that "Eric Schmidt's group" and "team" were doing for the campaign.
"I have been kept apprised of the work being done by Eric Schmidt's group and others working directly and indirectly with your team. On the whole, I am comfortable with where we stand and confident in our roadmap to launch day and beyond," Goff wrote at one point.
Goff boasted about the work Schmidt was doing, saying it would easily eclipse the technology operation of any Clinton opponent.
"Eric's team is also developing products that are not, strictly speaking, critical for launch, but would be extremely useful to have as early in the cycle as possible," Goff wrote.
While the memo did not state the name of Schmidt's group, it was likely referring to The Groundwork.
WikiLeaks, which posted the hacked email, has been accused of working with the Russian government to influence the presidential election.
Schmidt did not return requests for comments on his involvement with the Clinton campaign.

More comments at Ace of Spades about Google's bias against conservatives and white males
Boulder terlit hobo commented,
Dr. WTF commented,
Google employees literally called James Damore in the middle of the night and threatened his person.
Other documents show Google employees involved in Antifa, or recruiting for Antifa with the intent to foment a violent revolution.
Dr. WTF commented,
so Google has become just like Fact Check or SnopesRead more here, some of which were funny but not the kind of concepts I post here.
