Can our journalists not even read a map?

There has been a terrible explosion at a fertilizer plant in Waco, Texas. There are at least five deaths and many injuries.

All the media stories I have seen refer to Waco as being in West Texas. Can our journalists not even read a map? Waco lies between Dallas and Austin in what I would call central or east central Texas.

The photo above is from a story in The Right Scoop found here: http://www.therightscoop.com/major-explosion-at-fertilizer-plant-in-west-texas-many-injuries-reported/

The explosion was horrendous, and caught on tape here:

Actually, the name of the town is West, TX. It's about 20 miles from Waco. That's probably where the confusion comes from.
