The rumor of today is that Michael Bloomberg is planning to file as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president. Glenn Reynolds links to the story, but not until he makes this comment:

Finally, someone is addressing the Democrats’ desperate shortage of old, white people who want to tell everyone how to live. And this is certainly not a compliment to the existing field of candidates.
