This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

Hey Hugo Baby, I Don't Think You Want To Go There
You'll never believe what Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez is contemplating.
I see you have me linked on your sidebar. I will return the courtesy. :)
Thank you for the link to that Forgotten Debate article. I found it very interesting, and even more interesting that I've never heard about it before! I probably saw this debate but at the time was young and politically stupid. Like most Americans I had no interest in politics back then and had my head stuck in the sand. I thought I was a Democrat because I was raised by one. Jimmy Carter gets the credit for pulling my head out of the sand and for me and my husband both changing to Rebuplicans. Carter was so bad it was like a bolt of lightning!
The forgotten debate that Gayle refers to was in 1967 between Robert Kennedy and then Governor Ronald Reagan. Reagan demolished him. It was strength versus mush.

Yes, I do believe it, Bob, but you know that. :)
Now, do I call you "Bob" or "Robert"? Your comments show up as "Robert", so I don't know what you prefer.

Love the title!!
Gayle,
I'm just plain Bob, and I'm glad to make your acquaintance!
MizzE,
As usual, you've got it right. Those two are two peas in a pod.
Jungle Mom,
You are a courageous woman, and I already know that meeting you and Gayle will be beneficial to me and my very special blogging friends.
