Has China surpassed the U.S.?

Mike's America had these two graphs produced by the Pew Global Attitudes Survey. The first one shows how attitudes in other countries about Obama and the U.S. have changed from 2009 to the present.

The second shows a survey of 14 nations from 2008 to the present believes that China has surpassed the U.S. as the world's leading superpower. http://mikesamerica.blogspot.com/2012/06/obamas-favorability-at-new-global-low.html

Thanks for sharing that Bob.

More troubling than Obama's dip in global popularity is the perception that China is now the world's economic superpower.

And it's a perception based on fact.

Winston Churchill used to assess economic power based on steel production (and you need steel to build tanks, plans and guns) and China's steel production is exploding while ours is declining. Currently they make about 8 times more steel than we do.
