This Idaho couple decided to try to build a vacation home near a lake in Iowa. They hauled in fill dirt in anticipation of the construction of their home. However, they were soon visited by bureaucrats from the Environmental Protection Agency and told they would be fined $75,000.00 per day until they 1.) Removed the fill-dirt, 2.) Seeded the ground with “wetlands” plants,
3.) Fenced it for three-to-five years, then 4.) Apply for an
“after-the-fact” permit from the EPA which they’d be unlikely to
obtain. In March the Supreme Court shot down the bureaucrats 9-0.
