The politicians are lagging far behind the citizens they supposedly represent.

As a part of my job, my employer wants me to ask customers if they want a credit card. The responses of the customers is 99.5 percent an immediate and polite "no, thank you." People who shop here in suburban Denver do not want more credit. They are all trying to learn to pay as they go. It is really astounding to see how unified people are on that subject. The citizens are so far ahead of the politicians on this that it is truly amazing.
