Back to school, or is it... on to Sacramento?

The kids started back to school yesterday. Sara is in third grade, and, for her, it is all about social interaction with peers. Greg starts middle school (sixth grade), and he will be okay because he elected to have two hours of physical education every day. He is very gifted athletically, and this will raise his spirits enough to make it through the day. Jon is hilarious. He is in seventh grade. "My favorite subject is German," he says. He chose German rather than physical education. I know why. He wants to be able to yell things in a Nazi-sounding dialect at his brother and sister!
