What, if any, is the connection?

In surfing the blogosphere today I learned two things. I wonder if they are connected.
1.) Obama has approved the use of drones to bomb Libya. Secretary Gates says the bombing has begun.
2.) John McCain is in Libya meeting with the rebels, whom he says are his heroes.
