The family member with the biggest smile, though, is Colleen, who is well on her way to achieving what she has always wanted, family life in the country, with lots of animals.
This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

I'm glad everything is working out so well for you and yours.
Me - well, I'm a lazy ex-farmer more than anything. Animals take work. Work is a four letter word. ;>)
jeffro,
Thank you, and we know you are anything but lazy. You forget, I read your blog!
Wow. I thought I had a lot of animals at one time. You have me beat. After having children, I just don't want animals anymore. The kids (human kind) keep me hopping enough. But it is wonderful how you are exposing them to nature and the love of it.
vw,
It is Colleen's life-long dream. After being raised in the phony, flimsy values of a mom who had flings with married men, and an alcoholic dad, she has always longed for something real and meaningful. She had a Grandpa who had land and animals, and loved her dearly. She loved the time she spent with him.
