This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

Loving unconditionally
Do you have people in your life who love you unconditionally? How do they show their support for you? Usually it is parents or spouses who give that kind of love, and, if we are really lucky, our children.
It must be terrible for people like Barack Obama to have grown up without the love of his father, although his grandparents were there for him. Yet, he certainly seems to have found an awful lot of people who love him.
Update: After I wrote the two paragraphs above, I read a few pages from The Kingdom Way by C. Wayne Stewart. He wrote about David, the writer of the Psalms. Stewart writes, "The amazing gift of David was his miraculous ability to always have an acute awareness of God's nearness and companionship." So, when talking about unconditional love, let's not forget the One who created us and loves us eternally!
