Newt Gingrich is being pilloried because he ran for president despite not being financially prepared. But, he had ideas. One of his ideas is that America should not abandon the space race. Romney and Santorum both ridiculed him in Florida when he presented those ideas, which were mainly based on encouraging private funding.
