The Republican The Media Loves

There is a local talk show host in Denver who absolutely loves John McCain, even though the host is strongly anti-illegal immigration and McCain was an author of the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill. McCain really knows how to win over the press. He gives them access, lets down his guard, puts his feet up and shoots the breeze with them. He also loves to espouse liberal positions on everything from global warming to tax cuts to the gang of fourteen on judges to campaign finance reform, which also endears him to the media. Fortunately, people who vote in primaries and caucuses tend to be a bit better informed than the average voter, and McCain does not stand a chance with informed Republican voters.
