I finally got around to seeing "Dunkirk." It's very well made and conveys vividly what it must have been like to be there. Then I re-read Andrew Robert's account of the Fall of France. France and Britain had as many tanks as Hitler and comparable in quality but failed to concentrate them or coordinate with their air forces despite the example of Poland. Our Fall of France will occur over six years not six weeks as the Chinese economy nearly doubles. Our elite is as defeatist as the French (read Graham Allison's Thucydides Trap). And the last person among POTUS direct reports to think about these matters was Stephen K. Bannon. I'd say we're in trouble.
This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.
