"Civilian Purposes"

The "civilian purposes" of Iraq's nuclear program were clear: massive Israeli civilian casualties! So, the next time you hear the Iranian leaders talk about "civilian purposes," you can know with certainty what they mean: the same as Saddam! Oh, and by the way, we have France's Jacques Chirac to thank for Saddam's nuclear program.

A 1990 report from the International Institute for Strategic Studies concluded, "Had it not been for Desert Storm, Iraq could have accumulated a nuclear stockpile of a dozen or more weapons by the end of the decade."

Just yet another reason why America either has to face the truth we truly are alone and stay ahead of the pack nipping at our heels or crawl in our shell like a turtle and survive. Frankly I'm not sure which is the better alternative.
