Anger At the Greedy Capitalists

In Dover, New Hampshire, on 9-12-08, Barack Obama said this:

"I can make a firm pledge: Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes. You will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime."

Now that he is president, here is what he is doing: he signed a law raising the tax on tobacco nearly 62 cents per pack of cigarettes! When the federal tax on cigarettes was introduced in 1951, it was 8 cents a pack. Now it is $1.01. This tax, of course, hits hardest Americans with lower than average incomes.

Barack Obama: master of the art of saying one thing, and doing another!

But, who are smokers angry at? Not Barack. No, they vent their anger at the stores who raise the prices on cigarettes to implement the new tax. It's the greedy capitalists, not our beloved president. Tricky Dick had nothing on this guy!

I find myself still shocked that people are shocked by Obama, does that make sense?
