This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

A Sadr City Parade
Gateway Pundit brings us this photo with these comments: "US Soldiers- Smiling children- Safe Streets- Sadr City Sensational."
A U.S. Army Soldier gets a lift from an Iraqi boy and his mule on Route Douglas in the Jamilla Market in the Sadr City district of Baghdad, June 9, 2008. (U.S. Army photo by Tech. Sgt. Cohen A. Young, MNF-Iraq)
I can't help but rage (may not be quite the right word) that the MSM does not show this. How then could not we all be as proud as I am. I remember living in a foreign country; I remember what seeing an American soldier meant; I remember what seeing the flag meant. I was but a child and yet have never forgotten.
