Should We Vote For The One Who Is Most Naieve?

It is interesting that the two candidates who seem to be emerging as favorites are Huckabee and Obama. What is it about each of them that appeals to so many people? Maybe Americans are looking forward, and want to leave behind all of the political battles of the last few years. Both of these men seem to be nice guys who talk differently than the other candidates. They both want to make our government more benevolent.

Problem is, we need government to keep us safe from bad guys. We don't need government to love thy neighbor as thyself. Our "neighbors" (people in other countries) are often people who would do our country harm.

Remember when Bush said that he looked Putin in the eyes and found him to be a "good man?" That is the naievety I am talking about.
