These photos are in reverse order. We decided that there was about one hour before susnset, so it would be fun to ride the horses. Seven-year-old Jon is getting to be a very confident rider. The rain came right after this photo of the prairie grasses and sunset.

I hope you don't mind if I use that top picture for my desktop. All of them are beautiful pictures.
My kids are jealous of the horses but although we live in the country we only own a little over an acre of land. But I tell them they can buy their own land after they finish college, get a really good job and save their pennies... :o)

I am so flattered that you would want to use the picture. Yes, whenever I get on the horse, all I can think of is how much I would have enjoyed it as a kid. My heroes then were Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, The Lone Ranger, Tom Mix, and Gene Autry. I got to see Trigger up close at the Orpheum Theater in Sioux city, Iowa, where I grew up. Roy Rogers was there, too, and Dale Evans. But it was Trigger who I was most thrilled to see!
