Respect all cultures? Really? There are things that are right and things that are wrong. You don't have to respect people when they are doing what is wrong!

Our government was the first to be founded on the principle of your right to the pursuit of happiness!

The two men who are the pillars of western civilization are Socrates and Jesus: a gay guy and a Jew! They both lived in a time when the smartest, most sophisticated people believed there was no such thing as truth. Moral truth was relative. Both Socrates and Jesus believed there was such a thing as truth, but you couldn't quite put it into words. So they both found a technique to move people to the truth. Socrates, who came first, would go out and look for young people. Young people are the most certain of what they believe because they know the least! Socrates would hammer them with questions until they would start to question whether they were as close to the truth as they thought they were. Jesus spoke in parables and did miracles and said, "I am the truth!" Both were murdered by the government for speech the government didn't like. After they were murdered by the government they took over the western world!

Socrates had a student named Plato, and Plato had a student named Aristotle. Aristotle had a student named Alexander the Great who conquered a huge swath of the world and brought with him Greek culture, the Hellenic world. Rome then conquered the Hellenic world and adopted the Hellenic philosophy and thought. Then, Rome became Christian and the Roman Catholic Church became the birthplace of western civilization!

Are you unhappy because of some injustice, or because you suck? When you are who you say you are, you have integrity and you start to have joy! Virtue is choosing the good because you love the good. In order to choose the good, you need to be free to choose the good because you love the good. The problem is, if you can choose the good, you can choose the bad!

Our founding fathers tried to construct a government that would allow people to be free, but would not force them to do even what they (the Founders) knew was right! So they created tension between branches of government. All of our Founders said our Constitution was built for a religious and moral people. Religions are think tanks for figuring out virtue. The Founders protected religion from the government. If you are seeking virtue, you gain integrity and happiness.

You have the God-given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and no one will ever have a better idea for the foundation of a nation! If you have the right to life, I have the right to life. Same with liberty. Same with happiness.

What is your identity? What is America? A plot of ground? No, America is an idea. It is a melting pot of cultures who came to America. You get something from American culture for coming here, and we get something from the culture you brought here.

The title above for this post comes from Ace of Spades, who also writes about being shadowbanned by Twitter.

"Shadowbanning" is a banning that's hidden from the user. They don't ban you outright, but they do block everyone except the people you most frequently interact with from seeing your tweets.

A while ago, when I was still on twitter, one of my snarky comments would get 20, 40 retweets, at minimum. Then one day many of my tweets would get zero retweets, or 3.

When Twitter suspended me, I didn't bother getting unsuspended, because I knew they'd already blocked my tweets from 99% of all potential readers. So why bother even using their piece of shit data-exploitation antisocial media?

I would like Twitter to be quizzed heavily about this when they come before Congress to testify. Many conservatives are shadowbanned -- Mollie Hemingway seems to be. Michelle Malkin seems to be.

And even Senator Ted Cruz seems to be.

If this is not actually an open forum, they ought to say so. It's a simple matter of honest disclosure.

Ted Cruz made a point I'm not sure I agree with, but I'd like to hear Twitter quizzed on it. Twitter is immune from the libel published by people using their site because of the Communications Decency Act's provision that an interactive service provider is not responsible for what third parties might write on their service.

That is, they're not considered "publishers" of the libel, even though their platform could be considered a magazine in which the libel was published.

The idea is that they're just providing a neutral space for writing without endorsing anything written on their platform. Like the builder of a wall isn't liable for any defamatory graffiti a third party scrawls on the wall.

But if Twitter is no longer just an open forum but are in fact endorsing some views and punishing others, then they could be construed to be "publishers" of the tweets they permit to be seen, and would therefore not have the protections of the CDA's immunity clause.

Twitter should be made to answer these questions, and made to answer if they still think they're immune from suit from the third party libels the people they're endorsing by not shadowbanning are committing.

Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 .

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

(Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

Starting a new party would be a futile effort. Or would it?

Good morning kids. The weekend is here at last. Since there's really nothing new developing on the immigration and muh-collusionzz fronts, I want to take the time to look ahead, either far off into the future or just around the corner, depending upon one's perspective, to the November midterms. And really, beyond that as my graphic up top hopefully illustrates.

Despite the usual caveats of reading polls (no matter how reliable or usually biased they are) seven months before an election, there have been a number of troubling signs vis a vis special elections and other semi-anecdotal events this past year that we would be foolish to ignore. And coupled with that, there are a couple of concrete factors that need to be discussed now that could have implications next November that, all things considered, should really be a cakewalk for the GOP. One of them is the incandescent, insane anti-Trump rage by the Democrat-Left and the other, more troubling one is a combination of complacency on our part post-11/16 and the continued and righteous anger at the GOP which, with the exception of Neil Gorsuch and the passage of the Tax Overhaul, has worked to stymie and sabotage the President and his agenda from day one.

This brings me to our lead item. A North Carolinian by the name of Mark Robinson stood up at a town hall meeting and went on an epic tirade against a government which he saw as hell bent on taking away his constitutional right of self-defense, among other things:

"When are you all gonna start standing up for the majority?... I'm the majority!"
I think that this gentleman speaks for all of us, not just on the second amendment but on every other issue, problem and existential threat that we face from the Democrat-Socialist left, their minions in the media, academia and entertainment, and most importantly the traitors, flunkies and crooks in Chamber of Cronyism-land. Circling back to the midterms, it seems that every other day we read alternate stories about a Democrat "blue wave" that will take out the President and his agenda, or that the Democrats are in complete disarray and the combination of Camera Hogg, the illegal alien invasion and Hillary's gaping maw will sink them to even further depths than every election since 2010. I'd like to think the latter, but I do not want to take any chances. And truth be told, electing Donald Trump in 2016 and please G-d re-electing him in 2020 is not going to be enough.

As is plainly evident, and as I have alluded to, the GOP is dead to me and I assume all of you. At best, they are "the stupid party." At worst, and as I believe sure as G-d made little green apples, they are a cohort of the Democrat-Left; a party that exists to preserve, protect and defend the New Deal even as its overlords on the other side of the aisle move towards Stalin's 5-Year Plan. From Lester Jackson, the author of the American Thinker piece (last link in the Politics section):

Five weeks before he died, Justice Scalia quoted Charles de Gaulle: "God takes care of little children, drunkards, and the United States of America." So it is no surprise that the American political system rarely provides a choice of the greater good; the choice is nearly always who is the lesser evil? Those dissatisfied with "lesser evil" Republicans should defeat them in primaries. They should not substitute a vastly greater evil for a lesser evil in order to punish the lesser. The consequences will be irreversible.
As faithless as Republicans are, they should stress - and easily document - what today's Democrats represent: An End to America. If Republican candidates fail to do so, they will deserve exactly what happens to them. Tragically, freedom-loving, law-abiding Americans, under relentless Deep State attack, will not deserve it!

Yes, the GOP is dead to us. But since its base consists of the Chamber of Commerce with perhaps a war chest of hundreds of millions of dollars and control of the political agenda in Congress and statehouses across the country, taking it over is almost an impossible task (though traitors like Collins, Flake, McConnell et al need to be primaried at every opportunity). And starting a new party would be a futile effort. Or would it?

It seems to me that Mr. Robinson might have fired the rhetorical shot heard round the world. Because the infrastructure that has the organization and wherewithal to finally destroy and supplant the GOP may very well be right under our noses. So, without further ado, I would like to nominate the NRA to be the new home of the traditional Republican and conservative base.

The task would still be daunting, and the pessimist in me says that the human condition being what it is that even if an NRA Party came into being its leaders and elected politicians (please G-d) would be subject to the same weaknesses and temptations in DC that everyone else is. But, the situation is what it is, as is human nature, so there are no guarantees. Still, I think it might very well be an idea whose time may have come, considering what's at stake.

Can you imagine a Senate and House majority consisting of Mark Robinsons? I sure as hell can.

Trump cuts through the knots

When Alexander the Great arrived, he was challenged to unravel the impossible knot. Instead, he pulled out his sword and cut through it. Problem solved.

In the last year of the Barack Obama Administration, a lunatic North Korean regime purportedly had gained the ability to send nuclear-tipped missiles to the U.S. West Coast.

China had not only been violating trade agreements but forcing U.S. companies to hand over their technological expertise as the price of doing business in China.

NATO may have been born to protect the European mainland, but a distant United States was paying an increasingly greater percentage of its budget to maintain NATO than were its direct beneficiaries.

Mexico keeps sending its impoverished citizens to the United States, and they usually enter illegally. That way, Mexico relieves its own social tensions, develops a pro-Mexico expatriate community in the U.S. and gains an estimated $30 billion a year from remittances that undocumented immigrants send back home, often on the premise that American social services can free up cash for them to do so.

In the past, traditional and accepted methods failed to deal with all of these challenges. Bill Clinton’s “Agreed Framework,” George W. Bush’s “six-party talks” and the “strategic patience” of the Obama administration essentially offered North Korea cash to denuclearize.

How will the corruption be stopped?

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) demanded Wednesday that the FBI and DOJ comply with the committee’s subpoena to review documents pertaining to the bureau’s Russia investigation. In particular, the committee wants the un-redacted version of the original investigative document, also known as “Electronic Communication” that launched the FBI counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign, according to a letter issued by the Chairman.

Chairman Devin Nunes, R-CA, sent the letter to Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray warning them that their lack of compliance with the committee’s original Aug. 24, 2017 subpoena to turn over all requested documents could result in “the Committee pursuing all appropriate legal remedies, including seeking civil enforcement” in a federal district court.

In 1964, the year the Civil Rights Act was passed, only 18% of whites claimed to have a black friend. Today that figure is 86%. 87% of blacks assert they have white friends. 75% of black married couples own their own homes. Andrew believes there is not one thing that will stop a young Millennial from succeeding in today's society because of racism. Racism is a moral philosophy that there is a moral quality difference between different races. Culture is the key (solid teaching, lowering the incidences of single-parent families, stopping drug abuse).

Ying Ma is Andrew's guest. She is the author of Chinese Girl in the Ghetto. Her view of the authoritarian Chinese leader is that he is interested in making China more powerful, more rich, more modern, but not more free! Andrew notes that leftists like Thomas Friedman admire the totalitarian leaders who modernize their countries. Ma replies that China is certainly not a market economy. There are vast sections still controlled by the state.

What to do about Facebook

Pete Pachal is the Tech editor for Mashable. He asks, "Why should we trust Zuckerberg to fix Facebook?" Facebook's "Trending" news feed is slanted in one direction!

Maria points out that they are a media company, but they don't want to have to pay for content like a media company or be regulated like a media company.

Instagram and Snapchat are the next frontiers to be affected by this controversy.

Facebook is now making changes. Why didn't they make changes years ago when Obama's team used them so effectively? Or even a few weeks ago before this scandal broke?

Secret permission!

So now we learn that Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein gave Mueller secret permission last August to expand the perimeters of his probe. Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch says they are abusing the system (of due process), hunting for scalps. Lou Dobbs points out that they do not have evidence of a crime, yet that is what a special counsel is supposed to do: investigate allegations of a crime! Lou cannot understand why there is not an outrage in the leadership of the House and Senate saying end it and end it now! Chris Farrell says the House and Senate are leaderless! A joke!

Lou Dobbs points out that Mueller is without integrity! Farrell agrees.

Two guys who don't think much of Rosenstein or Mueller!

Did you catch Dershowitz and diGenova on Hannity last night? First, Dershowitz points out that there is no such federal crime as collusion! Prosecutors induce coverups. You can be indicted for perjury even if you tell the truth! If somebody contradicts you and the prosecutor believes that person, you are indicted for perjury for telling the truth!

Joe diGenova then attacks Rod Rosenstein: "His conduct from the beginning of this has been a disgrace! The conduct of Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein is unethical, unprofessional, an embarrassment to the United States government and is undermining equal enforcement of the law!"

Dershowitz agrees and says it is amazing that Rosenstein hasn't been recused, because he is the main witness on whether or not obstruction of justice occurred with the firing of Comey and he wrote the memo... (Hannity interrupts and Dershowitz never gets to finish his point).

Then diGenova jumps back in and asks what does Mueller want to question President Trump about? Trump has Article Two power to fire anyone he wants. It is a perjury trap! The Mueller investigation should end right now!"

Dershowitz warns that the Special Counsel has the power to put the president in front of a grand jury without a lawyer!

He intends to keep his Constitutional rights!

YouTube will now be able to respond that they don't just discriminate against conservatives, they discriminate against all sorts of people, including Iranian vegan immigrants - and they have the bullet-holes to prove it.

Mark Steyn has written what I consider his best post ever, and that is saying something!

At a certain level, formerly functioning societies seem to be growing unnecessarily complicated. Yet, in a more basic sense, it's all coming together:

Yesterday, as I was heading home after our live Clubland Q&A, it was all breaking news about the YouTube shooter. As usual in the first moments after such an attack, it's all tediously speculative - except for the apparent eyewitness report that the gunman was, in fact, a gunwoman. That, on the other hand, sent the breaking-news chappies boring down yet another dreary alley - that it was supposedly a YouTube employee upset with an ex-boyfriend. I gave up and listened to music all the way back.

In fact, the shooter was subsequently revealed to be Nasim Aghdam. What kind of name is that for a psychologically disturbed white-loner NRA gun-nut? Well, Miss Aghdam turns out to be a Persian vegan who came to the US as a refugee in 1996. She made the first vegan Farsi music video. Is that as big a breakthrough as it sounds? Well, if you haven't already seen it, you'll never know: her entire social-media presence has been vaporized, in part because a mass shooter who's female, vegan, immigrant, refugee, Iranian and Ba'hai is not helpful to the narrative - which is why CNN, MSNBC and the rest have done to this news story what YouTube did to her vegan video.

And yet the San Bruno shooting is oddly emblematic. As Miss Aghdam discovered, Persian vegan vids weren't quite the cash cow (if vegan readers will forgive the expression) that she hoped they would be. Further down her now vanished home page, she complained that she'd had 300,000 hits and YouTube had paid her precisely ten cents:


They then de-monetized her videos so that even that thin dime was denied her. So she went over to YouTube and shot up the joint.

As I've said before, YouTube is a racket: industrial copyright theft on a planet-wide scale. They get Gladys Scroggins of 27b Elm Street to do most of the active thievery - posting, say, her favorite Michael Jackson video - and then they become one of the biggest corporate behemoths in history by selling advertising off her theft, and tossing the occasional dime Gladys' way. If you raise an objection to anything they're doing, you get 47 emails from fellows with different first names - "Bob", "Dave", "Nigel", "Kelli-Su", "Miguel", "Rajiv", "LaShon'dra", "Bud" - all reciting the exact same boilerplate screw-you response.

It was inevitable that some users would eventually weary of this approach to customer relations and decide to take matters into their own hands. I would not, however, have bet on it being an Iranian vegan. A couple of weeks back, I was guest-hosting "Tucker Carlson Tonight" and introduced an interview Tucker had conducted with Dennis Prager, a man for whom I have nothing but the greatest respect: He is blessed with magnificent moral clarity, and an unerring grasp of what's really at stake in the flotsam and jetsam of the daily news churn. Like many of us, Dennis is concerned at the leftward tilt of Big Tech: Facebook and Google/YouTube are bigger and more powerful than many sovereign nations, and in the last decade their malign duopoly has shrunk the Internet from a vast jostling cacophony into a blander, tightly formatted landscape run by a cartel of devious algorithms.

You don't even have to be that "right-wing". Mandy O'Brien ran a popular "body language channel on YouTube, but made the mistake of analyzing St David of Hogg's body language - and now YouTube has disappeared her channel, and the only body language you can spot over there is rigor mortis.

What to do about it? Some (including Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg) favor government regulation - which would turn them into Ma Bell and give them a hammerlock on the 21st century as Bell had for almost the entirety of the 20th. Others prefer an anti-trust break-up: If Standard Oil was too big in 1911, both Facebook (as a news outlet) and Google/YouTube (as a content promoter) are far bigger today - and, unlike Esso, there are no Shells, Texacos, BPs or Totals on the horizon.

However, I'm slightly less clear on the logic of suing YouTube in order to get them to give your content more prominence than they wish to. That's like me suing Barnes & Noble because I'm on the bottom shelf in the back room rather than in the front window. So, at the end of the Tucker/Dennis segment, I remarked en passant:

Hmm. I hope Dennis has a good lawyer - 'cause that's actually quite a subtle needle his legal team will need to thread there...

It is and they didn't. Last week Judge Lucy Koh dismissed the Prager suit in an order that was noticeably unimpressed by his legal team's theory of the case. As Nasim Aghdam realized, YouTube is operating a class system: You check the "monetization" box, but then somebody complains about you and you're "de-monetized", which kinda leaves a taint of festering resentment, like all that blue-check bollocks at Twitter. Why, it's almost like being made to sit at the back of the cyber-bus or use a separate de-monetized drinking fountain...

Don't like it? Well, you can go to a rock-ribbed conservative like, say, Senator Mike Lee of Utah. But Google/YouTube recently moved into his state and - surprise! - he now seems disinclined to rock that particular boat. Tucker Carlson interviewed him, and some edgy Internet types lifted the interview and posted it to YouTube, billing Senator Lee as "Google's Number One bootlicker"- and then complained that Google/YouTube had "shadow banned" them so they'd only just realized that Google/YouTube were preventing them cleaning up with Google/YouTube ad revenue by posting somebody else's content on Google/YouTube in order to trash Google/YouTube. That right there is the Internet in a nutshell.

Presumably someone someday will lay a motion before an American judge arguing the case rather better than the slapdash Prager brief did. But YouTube will now be able to respond that they don't just discriminate against conservatives, they discriminate against all sorts of people, including Iranian vegan immigrants - and they have the bullet-holes to prove it.

The San Bruno attack also underlines a point I've been making for over a decade, ever since my troubles with Canada's "human rights" commissions: "Hate speech" doesn't lead to violence so much as restraints on so-called "hate speech" do - because, when you tell someone you can't say that, there's nothing left for him to do but open fire or plant his bomb. Restricting speech - or even being perceived to be restricting speech - incentivizes violence as the only alternative. As you'll notice in YouTube comments, I'm often derided as a pansy fag loser by the likes of ShitlordWarrior473 for sitting around talking about immigration policy as opposed to getting out in the street and taking direct action. In a culture ever more inimical to freedom of expression, there'll be more of that: The less you're permitted to say, the more violence there will be.

Google/YouTube and Facebook do not, of course, make laws, but their algorithms have more real-world impact than most legislation - and, having started out as more or less even-handed free-for-alls, they somehow thought it was a great idea to give the impression that they're increasingly happy to assist the likes of Angela Merkel and Theresa May as arbiters of approved public discourse. Facebook, for example, recently adjusted its algorithm, and by that mere tweak deprived Breitbart of 90 per cent of its ad revenue. That's their right, but it may not have been a prudent idea to reveal how easily they can do that to you.

What happened yesterday is a remarkable convergence of the spirits of the age: mass shootings, immigration, the Big Tech thought-police, the long reach of the Iranian Revolution, the refugee racket, animal rights, vegan music videos... It was the latest mismatched meeting between east and west in the age of the Great Migrations: Nasim Aghdam died two days before her 39th birthday, still living (according to news reports) with either her parents or her grandmother. She came to America at the age of seventeen, and spent two decades in what appears to be a sad and confused search to find something to give her life meaning. But in a cruder sense the horror in San Bruno was also a sudden meeting of two worlds hitherto assumed to be hermetically sealed from each other: the cool, dispassionate, dehumanized, algorithmic hum of High Tech - and the raw, primal, murderous rage breaking through from those on the receiving end.

The Financial Times reports that AMC has signed a deal with Saudi Arabia to bring movie theaters to the kingdom for the first time since a cinema ban was applied 35 years ago. Per the FT, the plan is to open "30-40 cinemas in approximately 15 cities in Saudi Arabia over the next five years," and have 50-100 theaters open by 2030 in around 25 cities.

Scott Rosenberg tells us that thousands of Google employees have signed a

Thousands of Google employees, including senior engineers, have signed a letter protesting the company's participation in a Pentagon AI project that could sharpen drone targeting, The New York Times reports.

The letter, sent to CEO Sundar Pichai, says Google "should not be in the business of war" and should pull out of the program, Project Maven, which uses artificial intelligence to improve visual recognition.

I don’t get this whole youtube genre and people making money from it… when it first started out, it was just a cool way to talk to people and share videos. Then Google bought them and started monetizing videos by sliding advertising into people’s creations. Obviously, this led to censorship… because Google wants to control the conversation.

Now, what will Google do to fix this problem? Hmmm….. I am betting they will just crack down even further while calling for gun control so the nutters don’t come and take them out as they take away their livelihoods that they lured them into creating on their platforms. How YouTube demonetization works

Regarding the PETA activist YouTube shooter, treehouseron comments,

I’m not saying she shoulda hurt anybody… but she was pretty much spot on at least about Youtube.

Basically the way you get new subscribers on youtube (which helps you make more money) is that Youtube’s computer algorithms suggest to you other videos in the sidebar, that you may be interested in because of whatever you’re watching now.

She was obviously crazy as a loon, but once they ‘blacklisted’ her account, all the videos would still be there but they wouldn’t suggest them to be watched on anybody’s other videos. It means you end up in a black hole of youtube, nobody can see your videos other than the people subscribed to you, and you don’t have any ads placed on those videos to make money off of.

Before you cheer that they did her like that, they typically do that to anybody espousing a conservative view of any kind. If you support the President in a youtube video it is immediately demonetized and not suggested to anybody.

Youtube also allows people to ‘report’ a video; if your video is reported (by haters, for any reason) with the click of a button your video is demonetized. Most political videos are timely; they’re only really relevant for a day or two until there’s more to the story, or something else is going on. If your video is demonetized the first day it’s up (by a click of the button from a hater), you lose any potential you have of making anything on the video. Even if they review it and correct it, nobody wants to watch a two day old video about politics.

These social media platforms are in the early days of their success and there are still a lot of unfair, biased policies to be ironed out. Nasim would say…. “Or Else.”

Commandeered by the media-savvy professional Left

...After the Feb. 14 atrocity, the Left promptly anointed Hogg a victim and moral authority and declared that survivors of the shooting were exempt from criticism – except of course for surviving students who support the Second Amendment. The tired old rhetoric of the gun-hating movement was given new life by high school students like Hogg.

But teenagers can only get so far. Within days the movement was commandeered by the media-savvy professional Left. Groups such as Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, George Soros-funded groups Media Matters for America (MMfA) and MoveOn.org, Planned Parenthood, and Indivisible have helped to organize last month’s March for Our Lives.

Although Hogg’s earlier effort in recent weeks to scare off corporations that do business with the NRA met with mixed results - including a delightfully spirited backlash by Second Amendment supporters against the obnoxious 17-year-old’s push for gun control - the attacks on Ingraham’s advertisers have been succeeding.

Media Matters for America, a left-wing hate group that masquerades as a media watchdog, has been enthusiastically promoting the assault on Ingraham’s corporate sponsors, providing Hogg’s cause with hundreds of thousands of dollars in free publicity. According to MMfA, the following companies have indicated they won’t continue advertising on the show: Nutrish, TripAdvisor, Wayfair, Expedia, Nestle, JoS A. Bank Clothiers, Johnson & Johnson, Hulu, Stitch Fix, Jenny Craig, Office Depot, Honda, Liberty Mutual, Principal, Miracle-Ear, Ruby Tuesday, and Atlantis, Entertainment Studios, and Bayer.

The next day at 1:06 p.m. Ingraham tried to walk back her previous tweet.

"Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA -- incl. @DavidHogg111[,]” she tweeted.

“On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland. For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David [...] immediately after that horrific shooting and even noted how 'poised' he was given the tragedy. As always, he's welcome to return to the show anytime for a productive discussion.”

Hogg refused to accept the peace offering, tweeting:

“I 100% agree an apology in an effort just to save your advertisers is not enough,” he tweeted. “I will only accept your apology only if you denounce the way your network has treated my friends and I [sic] in this fight. It’s time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children.”

And think about this: The campaign against Ingraham’s advertisers didn’t spring directly from a disagreement about gun control, the National Rifle Association, or the Second Amendment. The bullying effort is based in Hogg’s hurt feelings. The catalyst was Ingraham lobbing the gentlest of insults at the thin-skinned teen who is quite comfortable slinging the most vicious, vile insults at anyone who disagrees with him.

Although what Hogg is doing has widely been described as a boycott, it really isn’t a boycott campaign – it’s more of an intimidation campaign aimed at driving Ingraham off the airwaves by scaring her advertisers away. Ingraham has the wrong views so she must be removed from political debates.

The Left calls this kind of action an “accountability” campaign. Accountability, as they use the term, is not about transparency or best practices. Inspired by the so-called father of the New Left, Herbert Marcuse, who favored shutting down non-leftists, accountability actions focus on harassing and intimidating political enemies, disrupting them, and forcing them to waste their resources dealing with activists’ provocations.

Ultimately, it is about destroying the target.

Fox News is standing behind Ingraham, at least for now.

"We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts," Jack Abernethy, co-president of Fox News, told the Los Angeles Times. "We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children."

Sadly, we'll never get the analysis of whether she was a white Farsi or a farce Farsi since this goes agains the daily propaganda meme and will now disappear down the memory hole faster than you can say "Isn't this really the story of George Zimmermann?"

Now on to the big story which is the migrant "caravan" reportedly still heading north through Mexico, aided and abetted by that failed state, towards the US border. The President has announced that he will send military assets to the border to prevent the crossing and is pressuring the GOP in Congress to pass laws that overturn Obama's "non-contiguous nation refugee" bullshit stipulation that would allows these invaders (oh yes indeed that is what they are; stay tuned) to remain here unmolested if they are able to cross into America. Considering the GOP is mostly owned by the Chamber of Commerce, I don't see McCriminal and Ryno doing anything but dragging their feet and dissembling.

In any case, I, and doubtless many of you, have been suggesting for months if not years for the US to deploy troops to the border to help stem the incoming human wave assault. Once caller on Rush Limbaugh's show yesterday even went so far as to suggest PDT should have the military actually cross the border into Mexico and set up a buffer zone five miles into their territory. I prefer 50 miles, but why quibble? Is that an act of war? Well, considering what's going on on both sides of the border as well as the violence and mayhem that emanates from there and reaching to all corners of the nation (something like 60% of our prisons are populated by foreigners and/or illegal aliens) I'd say war has already been declared on us.

As I alluded to earlier, this is an invasion and the latest reports are that most of the members of this "caravan" are young males of military age. Can you say European/Syrian "refugee" crisis? That insanity is fueled by none other than everyone's favorite Nazi collaborator and convicted felon George Soros and so is this one. As an aside, there has got to be a way to prosecute this fiend, strip him of his citizenship and confiscate his assets. Sadly, what he does is legal or at least has the veneer of respectability, but his aim is nothing less than the overthrow and/or destruction of the republic and the west in general. Someone's job: prove it, but I digress.

The President has every right to declare a national security state of emergency, deploy troops and seal the border shut. I bet Congress and the Democrat-Media Complex go ape shit and call it a violation of the Constitution. It may not be an armed conflict but this is tantamount to a state of war IMHO.

If Congress refuses to act, then to hell with them; as Commander-in-Chief, merely exercise your Constitutional authority and order the Pentagon to deploy troops to the southern border "for extended desert warfare training." From a political standpoint, this is the singular issue that got the President elected. He may or may not have fumbled with the Omnibus spending bill, but taking a tough stance here will cement the bond with the base and anyone who goes against him is going to suffer this November. The gauntlet has been thrown down at the feet of the GOP in Congress.

Moving along, the other big story is from the Mueller flea circus and evidently a report indicates that he does not consider PDT a criminal target. Heh, neither did Comey or McCabe when it came to Mike Flynn. Proceed with caution, Mr. President. Meanwhile, the pressure is mounting to investigate crooked Hillary and Obama. We'll see what actually happens with that. Not holding my breath.

Lastly, today marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (who was a registered Republican, by the way). I'm not going to delve into some of the man's more problematic political aspects, but more importantly, I am going to note that the ideals for which he stood run in direct contravention to the Democrat-Left and its aims. How long before he becomes a target for the Neo-Cultural Revolutionaries and his likenesses are removed from the public squares and the streets named for him re-renamed? After all, meritocracy is racist, yo. Sad. How terribly, terribly sad.

Look for U.S. multinational corporations to return to the US from Mexico ASAP!

Sundance reports at The Conservative Treehouse that the person with an 18 point lead in polls in the July 1 Mexican election is a socialist.

If the news from the first round of Mexican election polling was any better we’d have to be twins to enjoy it. Andres Obrado, a well-known Marxist who intends a government take-over of the Mexican energy sector, is holding a commanding 18-point lead.

This is excellent news for border wall enthusiasts and those who want the Trump administration to pull out of NAFTA.

Mr Obrador is the modern Mexican version of Hugo Chávez (or Nicolàs Maduro/Bernie Sanders) with a similar ideological outlook. His resulting territorial economic policies are certain to deliver the Venezuela outcome to the Mexican people.

For American companies doing business in Mexico, an Obrador win would be the worst possible outcome. They will lose hundreds of billions from their current Mexican investments, as President Obrador swoops in to skim (tax) corporate profits for his state-run enterprises and care for ‘his people’. However, the good news is – those U.S. multinationals will likely all return to the U.S. asap. Lucky day, lucky day.

The more Mueller can draw out his investigation, the more he can affect the election. The legal process has become a political process.

Will conservatives rally and say: enough?

Jeff Lord writes at The American Spectator that he has had it with the bullies and goons of the Left who

target conservative commentators to get them off the air while others are trying to keep conservatives off podiums. Laura’s mildest of tweets to David Hogg is merely the latest excuse for doing this. The excuse always changes as different conservatives are targeted — but the motive never changes. And that motive is vividly clear: silencing a free press and free speech by bullying advertisers and hosts as well.

Now is the time to fight back. To zero in on these advertisers and others and make it plain that this kind of bullying of conservatives — and in this case the bullying of a woman — has got to stop. And while you’re at it — let Fox News how you feel. The network gets hammered routinely for its conservative hosts — right now meaning Tucker Carlson, Hannity and Laura plus Fox and Friends and this is exactly the kind of moment to stand with them. Jack Abernethy, the co-president of Fox News, has said this per the New York Daily News:

Trump hints at punitive sanctions, Mexico halts the caravan

The big story this Tuesday is that the Mexican government is going to halt the so-called "caravan" of migrants heading for our border, potentially sending them back from whence they came. Perhaps it's merely coincidence but it comes after yet another dreaded or loved (depending on your viewpoint) PDT Tweet-strom in which he ripped the Democrats, Obama, announced that DACA is dead and hinted at punitive sanctions against the Mexican and other Central American governments. This incident is illustrative of why the President is now at the 50% approval in the Rasmussen poll. Love him or hate him on a personal level, on a presidential level he is getting things done, despite perhaps missteps along the way, a hostile Congress, rogue judges and an insurrectionist/insubordinate bureaucracy. Keep up the pressure, Mr. President.

Continuing with the immigration and amnesty category this morning, just where did this group "Pueblos Sin Fronteras" or People Without Borders come from? Well, if you guessed a convicted felon and Nazi collaborator, you guessed right. In any case, if you read this group's list of demands, they're only slightly more radical than the official Democrat Party Platform. And speaking of which, Keith "X" Ellison is longing for the days of the Black Panthers, even copping to being a former member; he thinks their memory as well as their tactics should be invoked for the 2018 midterms. But I digress. Your word versus the written account of the FBI agent who handled the interview

We have read that 302’s forming the basis of some of Mueller’s investigations were changed by supervisors and the originals lost; we know that in the Libby case one agent present at his interview conceded at trial that the 302 of her co-agent (retired just as trial began) was inconsistent with her recollections, Videos of interviews are easy to do. They are used by police forces throughout the country and, to the best of my knowledge by Western law enforcement agencies outside the U.S. The attorney general should issue a directive scrapping further use of this 302 gambit. How would you like to face a grand jury with only your word versus the written account of the FBI agent who handled the interview? I wouldn’t. I’d never agree to an interview that was not videographed or transcribed by a stenographer.

The police, social services, politicians turned a blind eye to it for years and continue to turn a blind eye to it.

At the very end of this broadcast, Mark drops a bombshell: His years-long lawsuit is over! He does not say one word about it, except to mention that he has extra spring in his step! I Googled it, but there is nothing recent.

Never apologize to an outrage mob!

Today Matt points out that Laura Ingraham apologized to David Hogg for saying he "whined" about being rejected from four colleges after he whined about being rejected from four colleges.

Why is the outrage mob still acting outraged? Because the mob isn't really outraged! They are squeezing every last drop of advantage out of the mistake made by the person (Laura) who is their polar opposite. They are taking the opportunity to get Laura to submit to them. They want power over her. Matt thinks she should just delete the tweet and go on living her life. The only reason she apologized was to save her advertising. Over a dozen advertisers have dropped her show according to Matt.

Matt doesn't understand why Laura even cared enough to comment about it.

His advice? Never apologize to the outrage mob.

Where will they cross our border? Regaining mojo, What can Huber accomplish?

Here is JJ Sefton's morning report for today at Ace of Spades.

Good morning kids. Hope you had a blessed Easter, but it's the start of another week so let's dive in. Immigration is in the lead as we evidently have what is tantamount to Mexico officially interfering with our national security for directing over 1,500 Central American migrants to our border and facilitating their crossing of it. I assume this violates all sort of laws both domestically and internationally, as well as treaties and conventions, but like everything else these days, go tell it to the Marines. I don't know if they are all going to attempt to jump the border at one spot or if they will be spread out at the last minute, but if I were the President, I would be sending law enforcement or perhaps even military personnel to the points where these people are most likely to cross and turn them right around. And I would issue some form of public rebuke and stiff economic sanctions against Mexico for what amounts to a very dangerous stunt. I'll leave it to any experts in this area among the Horde to discuss and enlighten, as doubtless you will.

Meanwhile, in an effort to regain some of his mojo lost after signing the Omnibus bill last week (perceived or real), President Trump has officially dumped any deal regarding DACA, blaming Democrats for playing politics with the lives of these stateless persons residing on our soil. Meanwhile, Democrat Steve Cohen (who looks like Brad Sherman) thinks the President is bluffing on this. Yup. You go with that, Steve.

Moving on to Second Amendment news, now that we've had the Easter weekend to buffer the calls for Laura Ingraham's head, Ken Cuccinelli puts gun violence into proper perspective, who and what this Camera Hogg is all about (we already know, really but it's a good piece) and an interesting essay about the real nature of the Second Amendment; as a thought experiment I agree with it, but I would not want it tired in real life considering the nature of our government and too many in our society.

In Mueller witch hunt news, the appointment of John Huber by AG Lemmon 714 to investigate the FBI raises some questions of what he can really accomplish. Daniel Greenfield breaks down the Facebook/Cambridge Analytics "scandal" and as the Democrat-Left-Media complex insists on scraping Stormy Daniels' decolletage for PDT's DNA, 44 Democrats, including Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and her bukkake creme-rinse curls let the Awans run wild with sensitive computer data without a background check. And the reaction is a yawn and an "Awan who?" from the press and at least a third of the nation. Disgusting.

Speaking of disgusting bodily fluids, in the wake of Hamas and Hezbollah attempting to create an incident on the Israeli border during Passover, Geraldo Rivera is bemoaning not supporting the Palestinians during one of their endless Intifadas. I look at that stooge and imagine him 50-odd years ago and what do I see? Camera Hogg.

On the international front, we have further confirmation that our short- and long-term global adversary (if not enemy) is the People's Republic of China. With this in mind, and considering the proposed summit between Whoa, Fat! and PDT, I am very relieved with the likes of Bolton, Pompeo, Haley and Haspel at the top of our foreign policy and national security team.

How can Mr. Huber investigate his boss, Rod Rosenstein?

Well, here is another point to consider when debating whether or not to appoint a second special counsel. Can John Huber

investigate the commission of his boss, Rod Rosenstein's, of a fraud upon the FISA court by signing a FISA warrant application that relied on a fake British-Russian dossier financed by Team Hillary and the DNC?

That question is looked at in another American Thinker article by Daniel John Sobieski.

It is about time we had someone who can convene a jury and subpoena witnesses, but can he and will he present the case mounting against his boss to that grand jury and present his boss with a subpoena?

Some who have long been investing the Deep State coup don't think so. House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) exploded on The Ingraham Angle on Fox Thursday night on both the justification for a special counsel and the Mueller-like conflict of interest inherent in Huber's appointment:

"When the attorney general writes Congress and says, only under 'extraordinary circumstances' do we appoint a second special counsel, well, how about these facts, Laura?" Jordan asked.

"James Comey's been fired; Deputy Director Andrew Mccabe has been fired; Jim Baker, former chief counsel of the FBI, has been demoted and reassigned; Peter Strzok, former deputy head of counterintelligence, has been demoted and reassigned; and Lisa Page, former FBI counsel, has been demoted and reassigned. If those aren't extraordinary circumstances warranting a second special counsel, I don't know what the heck is.

"So I don't know why the attorney general keeps postponing this," Jordan continued. "Everyone in town knows we need a second special counsel to get to the bottom of this. How can Mr. Huber – he's probably a great lawyer, I don't know much about Mr. Huber from Utah – but how can he investigate his boss, Rod Rosenstein? That's who he reports to.

House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) echoed Jordan's sentiment, reciting his mistrust of anything the DOJ, which has been dragging its feet in cooperating with House investigations, says or does.

Sessions' prosecutor on the FBI and DOJ corruption is a US Attorney in Utah. If Sessions appointed a Special Counsel, the trials and grand juries would likely be in D.C. John Huber is a US Attorney in Utah, and he has been working on the case at least since November.

Speaking this morning on Fox & Friends, Sara Carter said that IG has already made criminal referrals on FISA abuses, according to her DOJ sources. These presumably would have been referred to Huber.

In other words, knowledgeable and experienced IG investigators are working with an experienced and unimpeachable (Obama-appointed) US Attorney to go after suspected abuses. Appointing a special counsel would necessitate starting all over again, beginning with recruiting staff, and then taking a lot of time to familiarize themselves with the evidence developed to date, and learning about the procedures and rules of the FBI and DOJ.

...Grand jury testimony is secret, but alert eyes might spot people like Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, and others entering the Scott M. Matheson Federal Courthouse in Salt Lake City one of these days.

How did Obama not know about any of this?

Jesse Watters gets better and better. He has a superb opening monolog, then chats with Ed Henry, another one of Fox's sharpest people. His interview with Carter Page was excellent. Page is going after the media with a lawsuit. Mark Levin lists all the Obama administration people who were involved in corruption and then asks how did Obama not know about any of this? He wasn't briefed on any of this? "I don't believe that for two seconds!" Levin has a new show on Fox on Sunday nights.

The Beltway’s sober and judicious foreign-policy establishment laments Donald Trump’s purported dismantling of the postwar order. They apparently take the president’s words as deeds and their own innate dislike of him as disinterested analysis.

But is the world really imploding after 70 years of supposed “calm”? (Disregarding the Korean and Vietnam wars; Chinese, Cambodian, Rwandan, and Balkan genocides; at least six Middle East conflicts; 9/11; a dozen U.S. interventions; a nuclear Pakistan and North Korea; the Cuban and Berlin nuclear standoffs; 20 years of Palestinian terrorism followed by 20 years of radical Islamic successors; a European Union financial and border meltdown; the Russian absorption of eastern Ukraine and Crimea, to name just a few “hot spots.”)

...The world itself is not in chaos as alleged. It seems a far safer place than it was between 2009 and 2016. ISIS is no longer a viable threat, promising to establish a new caliphate, in between beheading, burning alive, and drowning the innocent on video.

Israel is once again a strong U.S. ally. Saudi Arabia for the first time in its history is considering real reform. The Palestinians are beginning to understand that they can still damn, even threaten the United States, but not necessarily with U.S. aid money.

Iran is no longer harassing or hijacking U.S. ships. It is not so frequently boasting about what it will do to the Great Satan and Israel, much less sending missiles near U.S. carriers. The world did not fall apart when the U.S. moved its embassy to Jerusalem or withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord. That fact instead exposed so-called elite predictions of Armageddon as the hysteria.

Syria expects to be bombed each time it uses chemical weapons that were declared “nonexistent” by an outgoing Obama Administration. North Korea is not boasting any longer of incinerating American West Coast cities, but at least feigning consultation with China about denuclearizing the peninsula.

China understands that for two decades a naïve West has let it cheat at will on trade agreements, on the spurious idea it would become more pro-Western and democratic, the more that the West subsidized its breakneck modernization. Now it is at least talking about discussing its asymmetrical relationships with all its trading partners.

America Remains the Best and Only Option
Europe offers no alternative paradigm to a supposedly renegade United States. The German model of open borders and economic mercantilism no longer works all that well for Germany. The EU is more fearful of dissolution than preening of expansion.

Mexico understands that the era of exporting its human capital to avoid social justice reform at home is coming to a close. So, too, is the ruse of championing its poor only when they are long gone. America is tiring of the strange gymnastics of illegal immigration. Millions are subsidized by the U.S. social services safety net to send back to Mexico $30 billion in annual remittances, as their home government gratuitously tars their benefactor as racist and imperialist.

The U.S. economy did not implode in early 2017 and take down the world with it. The stock market did not crash. Our labor non-participation rate did not spiral. Instead, the country may be on its way to achieving its first 12-month period of 3 percent growth in 12 years. The stock market is at record highs, despite a few bumps, and unemployment at near-record peacetime lows.

There is also not so much talk of always increasing electricity rates, destroying the coal industry, banning more fracking, and subsidizing more Solyndra-like crony “green” companies. Instead, the United States is now the world’s largest energy producer. Soon we may be our own largest petroleum producer. U.S. natural gas production will likely reduce world carbon emissions more than will European windmills and American solar panels. American companies are more likely to come home than to keep pulling up and moving abroad. Silicon Valley tech companies have never done so well under a president they hate so much.

Leading from the Front—Again
The U.S. military for the first time in eight years is recovering its former strength. One way or another, there will likely be no more Bowe Bergdahl deals, decreased security at U.S. embassies and consulates in the Middle East, Iran Deals, or “strategic patience” and “lead from behind” doctrines. When outnumbered Americans are trapped in a shootout abroad, it is more likely help will be on the way than the requests of the beleaguered would be put on hold.

"Remember, Eric Holder lied to Congress, withheld documents, and was the first Cabinet officer ever to be held in contempt of Congress!" Has he or James Clapper been held accountable for their crimes? No!

There was only one passing of money to the Russians: Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee paid for the dossier used to wiretap officials of the Trump campaign.

Issa and Maria agree that when Congressional committees request documents from federal bureaucrats, those documents should be sent unredacted to the committees!

Nixon was held accountable in a matter of months, not decades as it has now been with Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the IRS scandal.

The willfully blind leader

Sundance at The Conservative Treehouse writes,

the same people behind Phase 1 (Clinton Exoneration ’15, ’16), and Phase 2 (opposition research, counterintelligence and surveillance against Trump ’15, ’16, ’17), became the same people in Phase 3, the post-election vast Russian-Trump Collusion Conspiracy; also known as “The Insurance Policy”.

...The team already existed. The objectives already existed. The only thing they needed was a willfully-blind leader and an excuse. Robert Mueller became that willfully-blind leader because the small group already knew him and knew they could manipulate/use him.

I doubt Mueller has much of an idea what his team even does. They bring him things; he signs them, and they go about their tasks regardless of his appearance.

Now, having said that, this in no way excuses Robert Mueller or lets him off the hook for being an active participant in the ongoing fiasco. After all, he’s presumably not a stupid man, and if he can’t see the ridiculous nature of the Russian-Conspiracy-Collusion-Narrative, well, he’d have to be an actual idiot instead of a rhetorical one.

Absent the existence of early onset dementia (ie. Alzheimers’) Robert Mueller is willingly going along with a clearly visible fraud. So he’s also transparently corrupt, complicit, terrible, unlawful, etc. and all other appropriate descriptions. However, Mueller has no more control over the “small group” investigation than the owner of McDonalds has over your cold french fries.
