Despite the fact that Obama came in to Chicago to campaign for Rahm Emanuel earlier this month, Chicagoans voted to force him to compete in a runoff election with Chuy Garcia in April. Garcia had the support of the Chicago Teachers Union, which is unhappy that Emanuel has forced the closure of fifty schools and opposes locally elected school boards. Teachers Union interim President Jesse Sharkey describes Emanuel as "pushy and arrogant."
