U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grennell tweeted on May 8, "As @realDonaldTrump said, US sanctions will target critical sectors of Iran’s economy. German companies doing business in Iran should wind down operations immediately."
Germans can trade with Iran or Saudi Arabia, but they no longer can do both.

Saudi Arabia cutting ties with Germany
Don Surber points out that the Saudis are no longer doing business with Germany. They don't like the way Angela Merkel kisses up to Iran.
