Once again we are seeing just how far American society has fallen when it comes to good manners, common courtesy, a little tact, or simply being kind. Some of the comments following the death of Barbara Bush have been hateful beyond measure. I just kept thinking of that old line, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.” A little less vitriol, both said and written, recently would have been nice. I am ashamed to be of the same species as those who would strike out at a dead woman and her mourning family. It doesn’t come much more mean-spirited than attacking a lady who can no longer defend herself. That is all I have to say.Read Suzann at WoolyMammoth.Org
This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.
