Have you ever heard of Inspire Magazine? It is affiliated with al Qaeda and is written in English language. It teaches how to make bombs, and encourages lone wolf attacks like the recently failed one in Wichita. The dude who tried to bomb the airport was a proud reader of Inspire.
The F.B.I. did a sting operation. Undercover agents had been working with the would-be airport bomber in Wichita. Some defense lawyers question the use of those tactics, manipulating mentally unstable people to commit crimes they would otherwise not have the wherewithal to undertake. So far, though, juries have convicted and sent to prison several people targeted in those counter terrorism investigations.
