This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

“Mr. Butterfield, are you aware of the installation of any listening devices in the Oval Office of the President?”
There was a time not long ago when I favored this man to be the GOP nominee for president of the United States.
Hogewash brings us this brief obituary of Fred Thompson: Fred Thompson has died of a recurrence of lymphoma. He was 73.
He was quite a character. I remember him from when he was a law school student at Vanderbilt while I was an undergraduate.
He delivered many memorable lines in his varied careers, but the most import was probably, “Mr. Butterfield, are you aware of the installation of any listening devices in the Oval Office of the President?”
