Entering into joy of the Lord -- through the door of hard times

I turn to Ann Voskamp's blog every single day, knowing that her words or links will always have meaning for me. Because she writes about our loving God, His grace, and her faith and gratitude.

Today she has another touching story of real-life-learning-to-trust in the Person of Christ. It involves a goat named Nanny, who has a heart of love "branded" into her pygmy dark forehead.

Nanny wanders off from the farm. Will she become dinner for coyotes?

Ann learns,

Faith is this unwavering trust in the heart of God in the hurt of here. Unwavering trust all the time though I don’t understand all the time.

God is always good and we are always loved.

Loved enough to be shaped into goodness of Christ Himself.

God’s purposes are not for me to understand His plans: His plan is for me to understand Who He is.

Real prayer has eyes on Christ, not the crisis.

No one enters into the real joy of the Lord in spite of the hard times —- but squarely through the door of the hard times.

Thank you Ann.
