..."the century-long progressive aim of changing our Constitutional republic into a tyrannical technocracy."

Bruce Thornton writes in FrontPage Magazine,
...the whole “Russia collusion” and “interference in our election” crimes were in fact perpetrated not by Trump and the RNC, but by Hillary Clinton and the DNC, with ample help from allegedly non-partisan federal agencies.

For true believers like the bipartisan NeverTrumpers, such blatant falsehoods and unjust procedures are irrelevant as long as they serve to overthrow Trump’s administration, either by a successful impeachment or by damaging the president enough that he is defeated in 2020. In other words, regime change, the overthrow of a legally elected president, and the disenfranchising of his 63 million supporters. The more long-term cost, of course, will be a quantum leap in the century-long progressive aim of changing our Constitutional republic into a tyrannical technocracy.

If that sounds extreme, just listen to the Democrat’s proclaimed policy goals: socialized medicine, gutting the First and Second Amendments, ceding more national sovereignty to the global technocratic elite, and appropriating through ruinous taxation more of the country’s wealth to finance more redistributionist schemes for their clients. Meanwhile, they shrug off the violence and verbal attacks on Republicans by Antifa and other goons, or, like Representative Maxine Waters, they even encourage them.

Resistance to tyranny is a virtue

Ben Shapiro writes at Breitbart,
In his new book, A Perfect Union, Carson contends, “Through a combination of removing guns and disseminating propaganda, the Nazis were able to carry out their evil intentions with relatively little resistance.” He defended that argument on national television, explaining, “I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed. I’m telling you there is a reason these dictatorial people take guns first.”

The media cynically objected to Carson’s language. Good Morning America labeled Carson’s comments “bizarre.” Politico accused Carson of “linking Hitler to gun control” – a ridiculous notion, given that Hitler is the one who linked Hitler with gun control.

The media quickly ran to its leftist allies in the Anti-Defamation League, a longtime opponent of gun rights. “Ben Carson has a right to his views on gun control, but the notion that Hitler’s gun-control policy contributed to the Holocaust is historically inaccurate,” National Director Jonathan Greenblatt told Yahoo! News. “The small number of personal firearms available to Germany’s Jews in 1938 could in no way have stopped the totalitarian power of the Nazi German state.”

Well, of course the “small number of personal firearms available to Germany’s Jews” wouldn’t have prevented the Holocaust. That was the entire goal of prohibiting Jews from owning firearms over the course of years.

...Finally, in 1938, the Nazis enacted the Weapons Law, which banned weapons ownership without a license, just like the 1928 law; the law itself did not explicitly deny licenses to Jews. But the law did ban Jews from firearms businesses, and further required full government-available records of all gun sales. After Kristallnacht, the Nazis utilized the law to ban guns from all Jews after utilizing the media to blame “armed Jews” for unrest. The order issued by the government on November 10, 1938 read: “Persons who, according to the Nurnberg law, are regarded as Jews, are forbidden to possess any weapon. Violators will be condemned to a concentration camp and imprisoned for a period of up to 20 years.” In fact, all weapons were banned from Jews, including stabbing and cutting weapons, as well as swords, students’ rapiers, clubs, horsewhips, brass knuckles, and hunting knives. “The Jews must be warned,” the regulations said, “that they should interpret the new ordinance and the already existing Weapons Law strictly.” Foreign Jews were made subject to the regulations as well. The law was used as an immediate excuse to round up and ship off Jews to concentration camps.

...The argument against Carson has serious real-world consequences that extend beyond the argument against domestic gun seizures. The idea of armed Jewish resistance undergirded the establishment of the State of Israel. After ordering the bombing of Saddam Hussein’s Osirak nuclear reactor in 1981, former Soviet dissenter and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin explained:

We chose this moment: now, not later, because later may be too late, perhaps forever. And if we stood by idly, two, three years, at the most four years, and Saddam Hussein would have produced his three, four, five bombs. … Then, this country and this people would have been lost, after the Holocaust. Another Holocaust would have happened in the history of the Jewish people. Never again, never again! Tell so your friends, tell anyone you meet, we shall defend our people with all the means at our disposal. We shall not allow any enemy to develop weapons of mass destruction turned against us.

The same people criticizing Carson today oppose the Jewish State’s right to defend itself. We shouldn’t be surprised that the media who cheer on President Obama’s empowerment and funding of the genocidal anti-Semitic Iranian regime and undermine Israel in its fight against genocidal anti-Semitic Palestinian terrorists also oppose the idea that Jews would have been better off armed facing the Nazis.

Today’s Nazi enablers are yesterday’s Nazi enablers. And they have a strange preference for government disarmament of the populace.

Resistance to tyranny is a virtue, today and yesterday. Those who stand in the way of such virtue side with evil. And the left consistently sides with evil.

Celebrating the founding of this country

Brent Cochran writes at Ace of Spades,
What does Independence Day stand for? What is it a celebration of? It is NOT a celebration of the country as it exists. It is a celebration of the founding of this country. It is an exultation of the ideals of liberty and an act of veneration toward the men who gave tyranny the middle finger.

Those men risked, quite literally, everything. And they did it for an idea. For a hope. On faith. What they fought for had never been done before. When Patrick Henry declared “Give me liberty or give me death!” no one knew quite what liberty would look like. But they were determined to give it a try. They believed in the ideals of freedom. When our Founding Fathers declared “we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” they did so not with heavy hearts and trepidation, but with boldness and, dare I say, joy. They were throwing off the yoke of oppression and grabbing their opportunity for a free life.

And by God they won. They succeeded. They were victorious.

Yes, they are likely distraught at what exists. There is much to bemoan, to rail against, to fear even. But not today.

Today, me and mine celebrate. We will eat, we will drink, we will colorfully blow some shit up. We will do so because brave men and women believed in freedom and liberty enough to dare all. They had far less than us, but still they had hope. Still they had faith. No one had shown them what liberty looked like, yet still they fought for it. I honor their memory today with that same hope, with that same faith. We have seen liberty, we have tasted freedom. We have done so because of those men and women and I will honor them and their memory and their sacrifice not in moroseness or anger, but in celebration and hope for the future.

Signing on with the mob

Stella Morabito writes in The Federalist,
Mass delusion is an important tool of oppressors because they can’t survive free expression. That’s why the First Amendment’s a target.

...many newly propagandized ideas seem to have taken America by storm just in the past decade or so. Same-sex marriage is only one of those ideas. Transgenderism is now eclipsing that notion, and its propaganda techniques—wrapped in the language of civil rights—are getting Americans on board with the idea of erasing all sex distinctions in law, including their own. It’s as though Americans are buying into a fast-talking sales pitch without being allowed to read the print, whether it’s large print or small.

...There’s more on the horizon: a singles’ rights movement that promises to end legal recognition of all marriage. Then there is transhumanism, which includes a push to end “fleshism” by enacting laws that protect non-biological entities from discrimination.
TED2 anyone?

American conservatives are by and large clueless about propaganda methods and tactics. And it shows. There are virtually no conservative social psychologists around.

Meanwhile, the Left has been employing social psychology and depth psychology on the masses for decades. President Obama’s campaign staff was filled with social psychologists. In this context, those who believe conservatives can subsist on reason and logic alone are kidding themselves. It’s no wonder GOP leaders are caving on so many principles, and being absorbed so easily into the Left’s machine.

A lot of people are scratching their heads today, wondering how life got to be so surreal, so fast in the United States of America. Based on the silencing tactics revealed by the LGBT lobby, many observers are likely now thinking: “Gee, I thought marriage equality was merely a gay rights movement. I didn’t realize that fascism was part of that package.” The Great Unraveling continues at a rapid clip when slipping on a pronoun in these days of transgender rule could cost you your career or earn you massive social media rallies chanting “hater” at you.

Even benign reminders of the First Amendment—embodied in Religious Freedom Restoration Acts—are quickly dispatched by mob hysteria. One day a supposedly principled leader like Indiana Gov. Mike Pence promotes the RFRA, and the next day he folds and essentially signs on with the mob.

There seem to be few independent thinkers left. But even they don’t seem to know what hit them. A woman gets banned by her gym and labelled a bigot because she told management that a man—who she only later learned “identified as female”—entered the locker room while she was getting undressed. Comedians who dare tread into trans territory are shut down. Never before have the media and pop culture dictated in such a draconian manner how each and every one of us is supposed to think about identity. Our own identity.

The list goes on. The unrest and rioting from Ferguson to Baltimore seem to be happening on cue also, with media propaganda that urges it on. There is no real debate on the merits of policies that depend on a blind faith in man-made global warming: those who disagree are labelled “deniers.”

Meanwhile, the power elites who now control the media, academia, and Hollywood seem to understand social psychology well enough to exploit it on a massive scale. They have engaged in psychological warfare against the private mind by inducing “collective belief formation.” There’s really nothing new here. Conditioning and nudging the masses into groupthink is a very old trick of all wannabe dictators. The bloody twentieth century is filled to the gills with examples.

...Yet it feels like we’ve awakened to an ambush.

...Family breakdown led to community breakdown, which we can see in the decline of trust in society. Ignorance was cultivated in the schools through political correctness and squashing free debate. The academy’s disparaging of western civilization virtually wiped out respect for any serious study of history and civics, as well as for the Socratic method and the rules of civil discourse. Political correctness sewed confusion into the language, particularly regarding identity politics. Youth are now set to be programmed for conformity through the K-12 “Common Core” curriculum mandates.

...“Equality” is not the reason for what is happening with such mobs. It is the pretext for what they are doing. Like all such deceptions, its sole purpose is as a vehicle to transfer power from individuals to an increasingly centralized state. The fuel, as usual, is the emotional blackmail of people of goodwill, the uses of mass mobilization to exploit that goodwill, then, finally, to render all such goodwill meaningless.

...With the continued chipping away of the organic family of mother-child-father, human relationships inevitably become diluted and more subservient to a mass state. This detachment cultivates human alienation, which draws more people to answer to the call of the mass state’s mob.

...the First Amendment is not negotiable if we are to have any semblance of freedom in this country.

...We can never fight back as long as we are in the dark about how our minds can be manipulated. So we absolutely must try to fully understand the methods and tactics of mental coercion and share that knowledge with others as much as possible.

Most Dangerous Government in the World

Guest post by
Suzann Darnall

As always at the end of the old year and moving into the New Year, journalists love to focus on different aspects of the preceding 12 months. One topic that caught my attention was "most dangerous governments." There have been a few articles, sound bites, and news stories looking back at the year 2013 and focusing on the so-called most dangerous regimes. Many of them have been focusing on the topic as it affects the United States. Often the focus is on those world leaders most hostile towards America. In my opinion, the government most dangerous to American citizens, at this time, is our own! Obama, his minions, and his cohorts apparently have nothing but disdain for the majority of Americans, our traditional society, and even our constitutional-based laws.

Our government seemingly views many segments of our society as "the enemy." Obama makes this very clear in his never-ending assaults on those not toeing the Leftist line and repeating the approved Progressive mantra. Those of us who are traditionalists are treated like home-grown terrorists. Mostly all of us are pretty much treated like nothing more than a herd of cash-cows whose sole purpose is filling the government coffers by paying exorbitant taxes, fees, penalties, and any other way they can essentially extort funds from the citizenry.

They are trying to turn all Americans into little cookie-cutter "identicals" that they consider appropriate. We are all supposed to think, feel, act, and vote just the way they tell us. Individualism is fast becoming the greatest crime against society that a person can commit. Having a personal opinion that was not fed to you by the Leftist media is like committing heresy. Disagreeing with the Progressive party line is almost looked upon as an act of treason.

Well, I am not quite ready to go quietly into the darkness of the Democrats' idea of the perfect Utopia of complete obedience by the citizens. I am not willing to become nothing more than a member of the Leftist herd of taxpayers. I want to cling to my freedom, my guns, my religion, my opinions, and my identity! I want to be free! Free to be me! And, I do not want my government telling me it is not okay to be who I am!!!

We must stand up to the dictatorial tyranny of an out-of-control government! A government, that at all levels seems to believe it knows what is better for us than we know ourselves. Well, I have news for them . . . I have been an adult for a very long time and I was an intelligent, cognizant being even for I reached my majority. In fact, most people I know are not the weak-minded, incompetent idiots our government seems to think we are. Of course, I do have to admit that I do not personally know all that many Liberals, so perhaps there are more of the lead-able sheep than I am aware of.

We must unite as Constitutional Conservatives and take back our country, our government, and our freedom. We must have a tent big enough to include some of our differences, but still be held up by the tent-pole tenants of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the checks-n-balances of governance as set forth by our Founding Fathers. Libertarians, Republicans, TEA Party, Constitutionalists, Conservatives, and all others opposed to the Nanny-State, must join forces to elect a majority of Constitution supporters in the 2014 and 2016 elections. And, we MUST do this at all levels from local to state to federal. As I have said before, the Democrat dogcatcher elected today may garner enough political party power to run as a Democrat presidential candidate in a couple of decades. So, stop them NOW! Before they get started down the road of political brokering and party pandering.

As I said at the beginning, I think the most dangerous government to American citizens, in current times, may well be our own. Let's change that. Let's once more make it ". . . government of the people, by the people, for the people . . . " If we do not act quickly, the America we know shall perish from the earth.

I consumed 14 walnuts while writing this blog post

Michael Tennant asks,

Seen any walnuts in your medicine cabinet lately? According to the Food and Drug Administration, that is precisely where you should find them. Because Diamond Foods made truthful claims about the health benefits of consuming walnuts that the FDA didn’t approve, it sent the company a letter declaring, “Your walnut products are drugs” — and “new drugs” at that — and, therefore, “they may not legally be marketed … in the United States without an approved new drug application.” The agency even threatened Diamond with “seizure” if it failed to comply.

Diamond’s transgression was to make “financial investments to educate the public and supply them with walnuts,” as William Faloon of Life Extension magazine put it. On its website and packaging, the company stated that the omega-3 fatty acids found in walnuts have been shown to have certain health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and some types of cancer. These claims, Faloon notes, are well supported by scientific research: “Life Extension has published 57 articles that describe the health benefits of walnuts”; and “The US National Library of Medicine database contains no fewer than 35 peer-reviewed published papers supporting a claim that ingesting walnuts improves vascular health and may reduce heart attack risk.”

“The FDA’s language,” Faloon writes, “resembles that of an out-of-control police state where tyranny [reigns] over rationality.” He adds:

"This kind of bureaucratic tyranny sends a strong signal to the food industry not to innovate in a way that informs the public about foods that protect against disease. While consumers increasingly reach for healthier dietary choices, the federal government wants to deny food companies the ability to convey findings from scientific studies about their products."

Walnuts aren’t the only food whose health benefits the FDA has tried to suppress. Producers of pomegranate juice and green tea, among others, have felt the bureaucrats’ wrath whenever they have suggested that their products are good for people.
