Buttigieg and Klobuchar end their campaigns and endorse Joe Biden!

Before being embarrassed by tomorrow's SuperTuesday vote, both Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar have ended their campaigns and offered their endorsement to Joe Biden.

Both Buttigieg and Steyer have dropped out of the Democratic race for the presidency.

Sin and righteousness

Dana Loesch writes in part in the Federalist,

...the most flawed people in the Bible were called by God into His service for His glory and He alone will raise up and equip those He calls for these tasks.

He called Saul of Tarsus, a brutal man who hunted down and murdered Christians in an attempt to exterminate the faith, while Saul was on the road to Damascus. Saul, whose reputation as “the wolf who stalked the lambs” preceded him around the known world, was turned into one of the most important figures in the post-apostolic period, one of the greatest of the faith. God called David, He called Judah, through a line of the some of the most corrupt and sinful men in Biblical history came Jesus. To argue that people cannot be used is to deny the omnipotence of God. As my pastor once said, “God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called.”

Dana has a new book out next week, titled “Grace Canceled: How Outrage is Destroying Lives, Ending Debate, and Endangering Democracy,” I discuss the death of redemption and nuance, social justice warriorism in the church, and Trump and faith.

She writes in the Federalist,

Buttigieg believes everyone else’s sin is up for discussion — except his own. He cites Trump’s behavior, but what of Pete’s? Scripture is explicitly clear on the topic of sin and that everyone sins — and thank goodness for grace and forgiveness.

Buttigieg likes to say, “God doesn’t have a political party,” which is correct. But God did give commandments to uphold, commandments which conflict with policies such as late-term, post-birth, and partial-birth abortion, policies Buttigieg and his party are trying to normalize as mainstream Christian doctrine while passing judgment on the manner in which Trump tweets. If Buttigieg’s “positions are informed by his faith,” as he so often says, you wouldn’t know it.

Buttigieg can cite Scripture, but does he follow it? He forgets that “It is not those who hear the law who are righteous but those who obey the law that will be declared righteous.”

Buttigieg wades into an "emotional knot of protesters"

Trip Gabriel reports in the New York Times,

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — While his 2020 rivals mingled with large friendly crowds at a Democratic fish fry in South Carolina Friday night, Mayor Pete Buttigieg found himself somewhere very different, wading into an emotional knot of protesters at the South Bend Police Department, some of whom cursed him, interrupted him and shouted a list of demands through a megaphone feet from his face.

Mr. Buttigieg abruptly pulled himself from the presidential campaign trail on Friday for a second time this week, after a South Bend police officer fatally shot a black man last weekend.

...Mr. Logan, 54, was fatally shot by an officer responding to reports of a man breaking into cars downtown. The authorities said Mr. Logan flashed a knife and lunged at the officer, who shot him once in the abdomen. But the officer had not activated his body camera. Mr. Logan’s family questioned why he was taken to the hospital in a police car rather than an ambulance.

At a time when candidates prefer their events as staged and predictable as possible, the result was a chaotic show of raw emotion and anger with grieving black residents facing off with the preternaturally calm 37-year-old mayor.

...“You’re running for president and you want black people to vote for you? That’s not going to happen,” a woman shouted.

“Ma’am, I’m not asking for your vote,” Mr. Buttigieg said.

Buttigieg's brother-in-law disputes Washington Post fake story

In the Washington Examiner, Rob Crilly dispells a fake news story run by the Washington Post. The Post had run a story about Buttigieg's brother-in-law who is accusing the gay Democratic presidential hopeful of hijacking his family’s history for political advantage by crafting a bogus backstory of poverty, homelessness, and homophobia.
