This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

A confession
I'm over my tantrum. Today I turned on NPR for what I hope will be one of the last times, during a thunderstorm which was interferring with my AM radio reception. The NPR person started sobbing about the Brexit vote as she rode her bicycle into Munich and talked with her friends. Immediately I laughed uproariously, and changed back to the staticky AM radio program.
Laura Ingraham was excitedly celebrating the Brexit vote. So was Sean Hannity later in the day. And Roger L. Simon has been writing his best stuff ever.
And where was Donald Trump? In London congratulating the people of Britain for their "fantastic" vote! Unlike Barack Obama who scolded them and threatened them prior to the vote, which surely influenced the vote just as happened in 2010 and 2014 in America.

"Sometimes on the verge of giving up on him"
...Sometimes I am on the verge of giving up on him. ...I have seen him several times on the stump and, although he's very engaging, he acts like a man who is tickled pink by all the adulation but hasn't quite grokked what is being conferred on him. This is the presidency of the United States. The time for a little gravitas is now, not at the inauguration. Otherwise there will be no inauguration.Read more here.

UN actively supporting terrorists in the Gaza Strip?
The UN — specifically the UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency), but other agencies as well — may have been actively supporting terrorism and terrorists in the Gaza Strip, even aiding with the storage of Hamas weaponry (missiles), whether deliberately or accidentally is unclear.Read more here.

A rancid cocktail of hate and envy
The hypocritical moralizing of the Obama-Kerry-Ban-Ki-Moons is about to go into overdrive as they will increasingly accuse the Israelis of over-reacting and harming too many civilians. Their media Greek chorus will scream out the death count at the top of their lungs , even though the numbers are puny compared to what is happening in Iraq and Syria or even, often enough, on a weekend in Chicago. Please read more here.
They will also all ignore, already having done so in an absolutely disrespectful manner, that the Israeli army does more to avoid civilian casualties than all the armies in the history of the world squared. I find Obama and Kerry’s pontification about this matter particularly nauseating, considering the American record on civilian deaths via drone attacks in Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen is significantly worse than the Israeli.
But most of all, now is the time to get behind the Israeli government and troops with our support. We need them to finish the job, to keep going until not a single Hamas tunnel is left. That will send a message that will resonate throughout the world. And remember — #DefundHamas.

How about just…winning?
We’ve all built our Arabic vocabularies a touch since 9-11, but the definition of words can often be problematic. The meaning of concepts like, say, jihad, are notoriously difficult to pin down, even when they shouldn’t be; I think deliberately. One of those elusive terms is hudna, meaning a temporary truce or “quiet.” A permanent truce, i.e., genuine peace, does not seem part of the vocabulary of jihadists whose sworn goal is to make the world Islamic, sooner or later, like it or not. They just take a time out when it looks as if they could be in trouble, like a hockey player with a twisted ankle. As an example, Hamas is known for its hudnas, cooling down (or pretending to) and then heating up again as soon as possible to do what the beginning of its charter always promised it would do — destroy Israel. Please read more here.
For years the bien pensant of the West (Europe, the U.S.) have urged, actually put strong pressure on, Israel to play the hudna game with Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and the rest of the sociopathic Islamofascist crew. The Israelis, from a humanistic tradition and anxious to be thought well of, have acquiesced, even when they have the extreme whip hand. The results have been as one would predict: another war, another hudna and on and on. This has been going on since the founding of the state of Israel in 1948, even before that really. In other words, for a long while.
Maybe it’s time for a different approach. How about just…winning?

Benghazi's natural conclusion: impeachment
The levels of criminality involved in this are mind-boggling. Everyone from Ben Rhodes to Hillary Clinton to Jay Carney to Susan Rice to Mike Morell to Barack Obama and on and on must explain themselves minute-by-minute. American “liberals” and their media consorts should search their souls. People died here. Please read more here.
Anyone who now considers Benghazi a “fake scandal” is either a complete liar or a moron. This new release of emails thanks to Judicial Watch is literally a call to arms. We will now see if there is even a figment of honesty in our mainstream media and if our elected representatives are to be trusted in any way.
It is our duty as citizens to put as much pressure on those representatives as possible to carry through this investigation to its natural conclusion — impeachment.
Time for a sequel

Let’s start with that ten p.m. phone call between Obama and Hillary on the night of the terror attack. (I’m sorry –video demonstration.) We don’t know what they actually said. And since it was only the two of them, we probably never will. But we do know this — they hate each other. But at the same time their futures were inextricably tied in this case. Talk about drah-mah…. all that gnashing of teeth and swallowing of emotion while being forced to agree on their farshtinkener story. The dialogue writes itself.Read some more of Simon's sarcasm here.
And speaking of the former secretary of State, how’s this for a scene — Hillary at the Benghazi victims’ funeral reassuring the grieving parents they’ll get that “evil filmmaker” who’s behind their sons’ murders when all the while she knows that’s baloney? Wow. Great stuff. Straight out of a vampire movie – Dracula or even the classic Nosferatu. Angelica is just made for it. (I know wrong hair color, but that can be fixed and she’s been there before. She killed as Morticia Addams. Just think what she would do with the scenery chewing iconic “What difference does it make?” scene? Ladies and gentlemen of the Academy, need I say more?)

Tell it as it is!
To begin with, time for Republican fat cats to realize that the media and Hollywood are really really important and open their wallets big time to change the playing field. (They’ll also make money in the process, because that’s where there’s a giant under-served audience.) Entertainment media are where minds are formed, especially those low-information voters everyone talks about incessantly. Hate the media and Hollywood all you want, but until you take them over and/or co-opt them, things are only going to get worse — you can bank on it.
Fox News is fine, but it preaches primarily to the choir. Something more is needed to do outreach to the middle of America. The Wall Street Journal, great as it is, and it is great, is only on the right on its editorial pages. There are no large newspapers in the entire country with a reporting staff tilting right. Think about that — no significant investigative reporting on the right. (Well, a few folks at Fox like Catherine Herridge and Sharyl Attkisson, recently canned by the court eunuchs at CBS.) This has to change.
We could even be stealthy about it. It’s not necessary to trumpet who we are. We just have to do it. If the Alinskyites can disguise themselves, we can too. In fact, it should be easier for us because we have truth, honor and justice on our side. We don’t have to broadcast we are conservatives or any other name. We just have to tell it as it is. How about starting today?

A critical mass welling up?
How, for example, do you write an eloquent defense of Obamacare or justify the administration’s actions in Benghazi without resorting to the kind of obfuscation that makes for convoluted, or at best tedious, writing? How do you advocate for yet more government programs in a country already so mired in debt it’s hard to see how it will ever get out? It’s Keynesian economics itself that’s the problem, not Paul Krugman.
Apparently liberals have also turned on one of their icons - Jerry Seinfeld - who said in a Buzzfeed interview,
Funny is the world I live in. You’re funny, I’m interested. You’re not funny, I’m not interested. I have no interest in gender or race or anything like that. But everyone else is kind of, with their calculating — is this the exact right mix? I think that’s — to me it’s anti-comedy. It’s more about PC-nonsense.
Simon summarizes,
Both of these seemingly minor media dust-ups are yet more indications that our society is at a tipping point. A critical mass may be welling up against the tyranny of modern liberalism. The next few years will be interesting — culturally and politically.

Aiding and abetting a complete lack of transparency
Roger L. Simon asserts that the number one underreported story of 2013 is the same one as the year before that and the year before that:
To put it bluntly: nobody knows nothin’ about the president of the United States, aka the leader of the free world. And what little we do know is highly uninformative and often contradictory. In a world where every phone call, email, text message, Tweet, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook post, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn link, Google + post, blog post, semaphore, morse code, Braille, and probably burp has been recorded digitally for posterity and beyond, nobody knows what Barack Obama even got in freshman English. (Well, maybe the NSA does, but they’re not telling.)
The press at the end of 2013 is at a remarkable moment. It may be – we don’t know yet – that the unreported story of 2103 (and five years previous) may finally be reported in 2014. Due to a number of factors – the Obamacare lies among them – a critical mass is forming that wants to know the truth. Whether they get it is another question. But whatever the result, a comprehensive – and accurate – biography of Barack Obama, whenever it is published, may be one of the best sellers of all time. I, for one, will certainly be anxious to read it.

Omerta
Obama’s uncle is Onyango “Omar” Obama, 69, a Kenyan national who has been living illegally in this country for five decades. Omar, the manager of a liquor store, was caught driving under the influence recently and faced deportation. The judge apparently let him off. What’s interesting is that Omar testified during his trial that the future POTUS stayed at Onyango’s apartment in Cambridge in the 1980s while Barack attended Harvard Law. Obama has previously denied ever having even met Omar. But the Kenyan’s landlord corroborated under oath Barack Sr.’s brother’s testimony. The White House, as is its wont these days, isn’t commenting.Around Obama there is an unprecedented silence, almost a media omertà .
From the free dictionary: omerta: A rule or code that prohibits speaking or divulging information about certain activities, especially the activities of a criminal organization.
Thanks to Glenn Reynolds for linking to Roger's piece.
Update The managing editor of the Daily Caller reports that the White House today admitted that Obama did stay with his uncle in the 1970s. Roger Simon was right. The uncle and his landlord were telling the truth. Here is a photo of his uncle in court.
