Kellyanne leaving White House by the end of the month

Kellyanne Conway, a top adviser to President Donald Trump, and her husband, George Conway, an attorney and outspoken Trump critic, will be departing from their respective political roles to focus on their family, they said in statements on Sunday.

Kellyanne Conway, 53, will be leaving her duties at the White House at the end of August.

"The past four years have allowed me blessings beyond compare as a part of history on Election Night 2016 and as Senior Counselor to the President," she wrote of her decision. "It’s been heady. It’s been humbling."

...She added that her spouse is "also making changes."

"We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids. Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids 'doing school from home' requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times.

"This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama."

In BizPac Review, Tom Tillison brings us the story about how ABC's George Stephanapolous tries to drive a wedge between Kellyanne Conway and her husband who wrote in the Wall Street Journal that he believes Trump's appointment of Matt Whitaker as Acting Attorney General is illegal.

“I’m sure the feminists are very proud of me that I’m an independent thinker who has a strong, powerful position in the United States government,” she sarcastically told the ABC anchor.

President Donald Trump made a surprise introduction midway through his Monday rally at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The president stopped and looked to the side of the stage, and recognized perhaps the two most well-known women in his administration. “I have two other great women with me. You’ve never heard of them,” Trump said, “They’re very shy — Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Huckabee Sanders.”

The crowd went wild as the two women took the stage. Trump hugged both of them and invited the two to speak. Sanders looked reluctant at first but took the podium and bent the mic downward.

She began with an apology. “You’ll have to forgive Kellyanne and I. We’re a little speechless because we’re not used to friendly crowds,” Sanders said to roars from the audience. Sanders is famous for jousting with a contentious press corps at the White House.

When Kellyanne took the mic, she said, “If you think your vote doesn’t count, if you think it doesn’t matter to have a small majority in the US Senate, you did not live through the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.”

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband, George Conway, took aim at the president on Twitter Friday over President Trump's criticism of his predecessor, former President Obama.

In a tweet, George Conway, a conservative lawyer, criticized Trump for mocking Obama for a 2008 gaffe in which he mistakenly said he visited "57 states" during his first presidential run.

"When President Obama said that he has been to '57 States,' very little mention in Fake News Media. Can you imagine if I said that...story of the year!" Trump had written in his tweet.

Conway responded on Twitter, saying that there is a "huge difference" between Obama's mistake and Trump's "witless prevarication on virtually all topics, large and small."

"Needless to say, there’s a huge difference between an isolated slip of the tongue and ceaseless, shameless, and witless prevarication on virtually all topics, large and small," Conway responded.

...Conway has frequently criticized Trump on social media, despite his wife's position at the White House.

Earlier this month, Conway retweeted a controversial anonymous New York Times op-ed warning that Trump is a dangerous and amoral leader.

Both Conways were the subjects of an interview in The Washington Post last month in which Kellyanne Conway stated that "part" of her husband "thinks I chose Donald Trump over him."

In the same interview, Kellyanne Conway called her husband's criticism of the president "disrespectful" to her.

“I think it’s disrespectful,” she said. “I think it disrespects his wife.”

"If there’s an issue, it’s because she’s in that job, for that man," George Conway told the Post in the article. "If my wife were the counselor to the CEO of Pepsi and I had a problem with her boss, I would simply drink my Coke and keep my mouth shut. If the president were simply mediocre or even bad, I’d have nothing to say. This is much different.”

Kellyanne: "I consider myself a post feminist"

President Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway doesn’t consider herself a “feminist” in the traditional sense of the word.

In an interview published Thursday, the 50-year-old mother of four told The Washington Post that she doesn’t align with the “pro-abortion,” “anti-male” tenets of modern feminism and considers herself more of a “postfeminist.”
“I don’t consider myself a feminist. I think my generation isn’t a big fan of labels. My favorite label is mommy,” Mrs. Conway said.

“I feel like the feminist movement has been hijacked by the pro-abortion movement or the anti-male sentiments that you read in some of their propaganda and writings,” she continued. “I’m not anti-male. One does not need to be pro-female and call yourself a feminist, when with it comes that whole anti-male culture where we want young boys to sit down and shut up in the classroom.
“And we have all of these commercials that show what a feckless boob the man in the house is. That’s not the way I see the men in my life, most especially my 12-year-old son,” she added. “I consider myself a postfeminist. I consider myself one of those women who is a product of her choices, not a victim of her circumstances.”

Mrs. Conway, who served as Mr. Trump’s campaign manager and became the first woman to run a successful presidential campaign, said she is just now starting to realize how historic her involvement was.

Kellyanne Conway named Counselor to the President

Speaking of communications, here is another Trump announcement today: Kellyanne Conway has been named Counselor to the President. Charlie Spiering reports at Breitbart,

“Kellyanne Conway has been a trusted advisor and strategist who played a crucial role in my victory,” Trump said in a statement. “She is a tireless and tenacious advocate of my agenda and has amazing insights on how to effectively communicate our message. I am pleased that she will be part of my senior team in the West Wing.”

...“I want to thank the President-elect for this amazing opportunity,” Conway said. “A Trump presidency will bring real change to Washington and to Americans across this great nation.
