"Many deaths" at school shooting in Florida

Sundance at The Conservative Treehouse reports that Florida Senator Nelson says there have been "many deaths" at a high school in Parkland, Florida. A young punk is in custody.

The National Council on Home Safety and Security recently placed the city on its list of the 10 safest cities in Florida.

Time for a grassroots movement?

This post includes any updates I have been able to find.

I just received a phone call from Colleen telling me that there has been a school shooting in a middle school in Roswell, New Mexico. I Googled it and found that a 14-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl have been critically injured, and there may have been other victims. The shooter, reported to be a 13-year-old boy, has been captured.

Colleen added, "It's time for a grassroots movement to ensure that every school has one or more big burly armed deputies ready to respond to intruders!"

Update: The shooter was 12, a 7th grader. He put a shotgun in a school band instrument case and went into the school gym, bumping into a girl in the hall on the way to the gym and saying "excuse me." Once in the gym he took the gun out of the instrument case and opened fire, hitting a boy in the face and a girl in the arm, according to witnesses. Then he shot up into the ceiling and dropped the gun, whereupon a teacher grabbed him. The two victims were treated at a local hospital and then airlifted to Texas Tech University Hospital, where they are in critical condition. Pray for them.

Why young men lose it

Mental illness, prescription drugs, the need for gun control. These are often cited as the reason young men lose it and go on shooting sprees. Billy Chubbs theorizes that there is another, more persuasive reason: sexual frustration!

His theory goes like this.

For the vast majority of men their sex life is a central part of their character and a major part of their motivation for all aspects of their life. If men are barred from it (whether they actually are or merely feel that they are) for whatever reason, they feel little incentive for anything else; even if that incentive is to not go crazy and shoot people.

Chubbs asserts that

the inherent selfishness of all women has been allowed to run rampant in our Western societies.

Women whose level of physical looks give them no right to be picky are allowed to chase after the upper tiers of men with no shame while men who are just as, or perhaps even a little more, attractive then themselves are forced to remain virgins into their twenties and are forced to wait until women’s looks begin to fade around the age of twenty-six before being given the chance to enter into a relationship with them. And even then, the relationship is a farce. The woman has only entered it out of desperation since all the upper echelons of sexually enticing men who used to have sex with her have cast her off and she is emotionally damaged by her selfish experiences.

Even though sex life is so important to men, Chubbs believes this about men like Karl Pierson, the Arapahoe High School shooter who killed an attractive girl, Claire Davis,

Young men like Karl – who aren’t blessed with looks, or exorbitant wealth, or the top tier social skills of the small percentage of men who are getting laid – have been left in the dust by our female-centric, uncaring societies. And society does not care until men like him pick up a gun and starts shooting. And society will not admit the real root of the problem, even when it’s staring them in the face.

So long as society encourages women of all ages to be the inherently promiscuous creatures they are and allow them to limit their sexual choices to the men at the top of the pyramid (when many of them have no right to), sexually frustrated men will continue to lash out with extreme violence. The Columbine’s will continue. The Sandy Hook’s will continue. The Arapahoe’s will continue. Until society sits down and thinks over these problems with an unclouded mind, men will continue the shootings. More people will die just so Jane Doe can continue to ‘explore’ her sexuality until she hits the wall.

Of course, it’s always easier to scream, “PRESCRIPTION DRUGS! GUN CONTROL MENTAL ILLNESS!” and ignore the root of the problem and twiddle one’s thumbs until the next shooting. For many men, hundreds of thousands of them, they live in a mentally ill society. It’s a testament to either their humanity or their cowardice that more of them do not lash out like this. The problem will only continue to get worse and without recognizing some hard truths, it will never get better.

What is interesting to me is that both those who advocate feminism and those who advocate "game" and "manosphere" believe it is their gender that our society is being unfair to!

Claire Davis, the girl who was shot point blank in the face by the evil socialist gunman at Arapahoe High School eight days ago, has died this afternoon.

Horror in the suburbs, once again

One student, a senior, is still in critical condition in a Littleton hospital, after being shot point blank in the face by Friday's 18-year-old gunman at Arapahoe High School. The two barely knew each other, if at all. She was sitting in the library with a friend, when the shooter came in with his shotgun, bandolier filled with ammunition across his chest, and three Molotov cocktails, one of which he ignited, burning down two stacks of books. He obviously knew what door to come in unimpeded during the lunch hour. He committed suicide when the school resource officer, a deputy sheriff, approached the library, responding to the gunfire and smoke within 80 seconds.

He had recently legally purchased the shotgun and ammunition. His mom was out of town Friday, so presumably he may have been by himself in their Highlands Ranch house in the suburbs, because the parents were divorced, and the father lives in Denver. Actually, his maternal grandmother may have been in the house, though no one has confirmed that in any of the reporting I have read.

He was looking for the librarian/debate coach, who had "disciplined" him in September. Why? Because the shooter told a group of students that he wanted to kill the coach! The coach informed school administrators about the threat, and administrators notified law enforcement. Although the shooter was "disciplined," he was not suspended from school or kicked off the debate team. No one is reporting what law enforcement did about the threat, and no one is reporting what was the nature of his "discipline."

To read about the victim, Claire Davis, is to invite a torrent of tears. Saturday evening a group of students organized a candlelight vigil near the school to honor and pray for her, and gather with others who had lived through this traumatic experience. There was singing and hugs, lots of hugs, reports Denver Post writer Anthony Cotton. Claire is described as "sweet," "humble," a horse lover, an excellent student who has already been accepted by numerous colleges, and "the best baby sitter on the block" in the various reports I have read. Please pray for her and her family.

We have had way too much of this in Colorado.

New facts about the shooter at Arapahoe High School

The Arapahoe High School gunman was suspended from school in September because he threatened to kill his debate coach. The debate coach reported this threat to the school administration.

Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit points out that The Denver Post, in later reports, deleted the word "Socialist" from a description of the shooter which the Post had printed initially. Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with the gunman, had described him as "a very opinionated Socialist."

Good catch Jim!

Lots of questions, few answers

I imagine that almost everybody in Colorado is turning to the Denver Post this morning to learn more about the shooting yesterday at Arapahoe High School. I am one of those who is curious to know more about the shooter and his family.

The Post reporters begin their coverage of the shooter and his family in paragraph four. The first thing they tell us about the family is that "the family attended Bible study meetings." Oh, that explains why their son brought a shotgun to school to try to kill the debate coach/librarian. Another one of those dangerous Christian fundamentalists!

At the end of that paragraph we learn that police searched his mother's home in Highlands Ranch and also his father's home in Denver. Oh, the parents did not live together in the same home. Might that be as significant as the fact that "the family" attended Bible study meetings?

In paragraph six gun control Governor Hickenlooper said, "This has got to stop." In paragraph seven we learn that the school is quite large, with over 2100 students. How many "resource" officers patrol the building? We learn the answer to that question in paragraph twelve: one.

Was one resource officer enough to stop the 18-year-old from brazenly walking into the building with a shotgun and asking where is the teacher he wanted to kill? No. Did any of the teachers have concealed carry licenses? The reporters do not ask that question.

No doubt we will learn more in the days to come.

Another school shooting in Colorado

It has happened again here in a Colorado suburb. An 18 year-old walked into the high school he attends. He was armed with a shotgun, looking for revenge against the school librarian, who, according to 7News television station, had recently kicked the student off the debate team. The shooter is now dead, from self-inflicted gun shots. One female student was shot and is critical in a Littleton hospital. Police are searching the suspect's home, which is located in what I would call an upper middle class neighborhood. Here is an excerpted account of facts reported by 9News television station:

CENTENNIAL - Three people were injured during a shooting at Arapahoe High School in the 2200 block of East Dry Creek Road in Centennial Friday afternoon.

THE VICTIMS

A 15 or 16-year-old female student, who was in the immediate area of the gunman, was transported to a Littleton hospital in critical condition. That student is currently undergoing surgery.

The second victim who was shot was transported to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood but with minor injuries.

A third victim suffered an anxiety attack was also transported to Swedish.

The Englewood hospital said both patients were released later in the evening.

Two other students suffered emotional attacks but were treated at the scene, according to Sheriff investigators.

The gunman, who was a student at Arapahoe High School, was found dead inside the school from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the police.

Suspected shooter's home searched

THE SHOOTING

Police say the suspect - armed with a shotgun - entered the west side of the school around 12:30 p.m. and asked for a specific teacher by name.

Authorities said the gunman made no effort to conceal the weapon when he entered the school. He was able to get "very deep" within the school.

The teacher, after learning that he was being asked for by the student and that the student was armed, immediately implemented "active-shooter protocols."

Active shooter protocols include evacuating the grounds in a safe manner and placing the school on lockdown.

About 20 minutes after police began searching Arapahoe High School, police found the gunman dead in a classroom from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body remains inside the school.

Police did not engage in a gunfight with the suspect, whose name has not been released at this time as police continue to talk to his family.

Police believe the suspect acted alone, and there are no other threats at this time.

Arapahoe County Sheriff investigators are looking into revenge against the teacher the shooter was looking for as a possible motive.

Officials' response to school shooting

DEVICES FOUND IN SCHOOL

Two devices, being described as Molotov cocktails, were found inside the school. One device was detonated by the suspect; the other device was located and deemed safe.

Officers who arrived on scene had to deal with smoke from the first Molotov cocktail detonation.

A Molotov cocktail is a bottle-based improvised incendiary weapon.

This man is a janitor at the school. He is the one who alerted everyone that there was a person with a shot gun. Click on the images below to watch videos.
