"I was gagged for sixteen months, and now I'm free!"
This interview by Mark Dice with Roger Stone was conducted on the tenth of June before Stone's sentence was commuted on that same day by President Trump!
One of the most notable points in this interview occurred in the last ten minutes, after the 59 minute mark, when Roger told about meeting with the Reverend Franklin Graham. Graham said he would be glad to help if he could, but that what Roger really needed to do was to proclaim his belief in Jesus Christ, repent of his sins, and reach out to God in prayer. That was on a Saturday. The following Monday was when the story broke about the biased jury forewoman!

"If you are a friend of Trump, getting a fair trial in the District of Columbia is a challenge, if not an impossibility"
In Fox News, Gregg Jarrett writes in part,
If you are a friend of Trump, getting a fair trial in the District of Columbia is a challenge, if not an impossibility, especially in a politically charged case. In the last presidential election, 90.5 percent of the ballots in the nation’s capital were cast in favor of Hillary Clinton. A scant 4.1 percent of votes were cast for Trump.Read more here.
Suspicions of a wrongful conviction against Stone became more acute when new evidence emerged after his trial that justice may have been undone by a jury foreperson who harbored a disqualifying bias.
Tomeka Hart, the foreperson, is a Democratic activist who voiced extreme anti-Trump opinions that were largely concealed during jury selection. Before she was ever picked for the trial, Hart posted numerous social media comments highly critical of Trump and actively engaged in protests against him.
Even worse, in a string of posts Hart commented negatively about the Stone case itself, praised the Mueller investigation and suggested that the president and his supporters (such as Stone) were racists.
Hart referred to Trump with the hashtag “klanpresident.” She should never, under any circumstances, have been sitting in judgment of Stone. Hart must have known this, inasmuch as she is a lawyer.
As I pointed out in a previous column, Hart’s record is indicative of a manifest prejudice against Stone by virtue of his close association with Trump. Because Hart was the foreperson who had the ability to guide and even induce other jurors to convict Stone, it is likely that he was deprived of his constitutional right to an impartial jury and a fair trial,
Predictably, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who was appointed to the bench by President Barack Obama, denied a motion for a new trial for Stone.
The judge blamed Stone’s attorneys for not uncovering evidence of bias before the trial commenced. Under the law, that is not an excuse for refusing to overturn a tainted conviction by granting a new trial.
When our imperfect system of justice fails the president is constitutionally empowered to issue either a pardon or a commutation. Indeed, he may do so for either a good reason or no reason at all.
President Trump did not pardon Stone, which would have absolved him of his convicted crimes. Rather, Trump commuted Stone’s sentence of 40 months in prison.
Stone’s convictions will stand, unless a higher court reverses them on appeal. The political and media backlash will be severe, to be sure. But that has never deterred Trump before and should not in the future.
The contorted case of Roger Stone is a sad coda to the work of Robert Mueller. As Trump tweeted last month, Stone was “a victim of a corrupt and illegal Witch Hunt, one which will go down as the greatest political crime in history. He can sleep well at night!”
Stone has suffered enough, He deserves to sleep in his own bed.

"Roger Stone is now a free man!"
The staff at Just the News reports,
President Trump on Friday commuted the prison sentence of former political adviser Roger Stone, days before he was to report to a federal prison for a 40 month term.
"Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency. There was never any collusion between the Trump Campaign, or the Trump Administration, with Russia," said White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
"Mr. Stone would be put at serious medical risk in prison. He has appealed his conviction and is seeking a new trial. He maintains his innocence and has stated that he expects to be fully exonerated by the justice system. Mr. Stone, like every American, deserves a fair trial and every opportunity to vindicate himself before the courts. The President does not wish to interfere with his efforts to do so. At this time, however, and particularly in light of the egregious facts and circumstances surrounding his unfair prosecution, arrest, and trial, the President has determined to commute his sentence. Roger Stone has already suffered greatly. He was treated very unfairly, as were many others in this case. Roger Stone is now a free man!"

What "dirty tricks?"
The Daily Mail, which always puts a negative spin on any story it publishes that has anything to do with President Trump, reports that Roger Stone begins his three-year prison term Saturday. The Daily Mail refers to him as the President's "dirty trickster" without telling us what dirty tricks he engaged in. Read the biased story here.

Roger Stone deposition
In this video, Roger Stone is being interrogated by attorney Larry Klayman in a defamation lawsuit filed against Stone by Jerome Corsi and Klayman. At the 33 minute mark in this YouTube video the questioning turns to Stone's relationship with Donald Trump. Stone says, Donald Trump decides what he thinks, he decides where he's going to go, he decides what he is going to do. He is not handled or managed or scripted. No one tells Donald Trump what to think. From there up to the 40-minute mark Klayman questions Stone about the Obama birth certificate.
Then, he asks Stone who killed Kennedy! Stone mentions the involvement of organized crime. "Big Texas oil is involved!" "Vice President Lyndon Johnson is involved!" Are you concerned for the safety of President Trump? "I pray for the president's safety every single day!"
Stone expresses affection for Corsi but a strong dislike for Klayman. Klayman was founder of Judicial Watch, an organization I appreciate very much.
I think I may be back later, but I now have watched this for one hour, and so I will post this much.

Did the lead juror taint the Stone case?
Investigative reporter Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller has obtained one page of the questionnaire filled out by Roger Stone jury lead juror Tameka Hart.
The lead juror at Roger Stone’s trial said in a written questionnaire for prospective jurors that she was “not sure” whether she posted online about the Russia investigation or Stone, and that she “may have shared an article” on social media on the topics, according to a portion of the document reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.Read much more here.
But Tomeka Hart’s Twitter feed shows that she indeed posted multiple times about the Russia probe and at least once about Stone, who was sentenced on Thursday to 40 months in prison in a case that stemmed from the special counsel’s investigation.
Stone’s lawyers filed a motion on Feb. 14 alleging that Hart’s social media activity shows that she was biased against President Donald Trump and Stone. Trump also criticized Hart during a press conference after Stone was sentenced.
Trump called Hart an “anti-Trump activist,” and suggested that she “tainted” Stone’s jury.
Hart, who ran for Congress as a Democrat in 2012, commented negatively about Trump on Twitter and circulated news stories about the Russia probe. In one Aug. 2, 2019 post, she called all of Trump’s supporters racist.
Stone, 67, has been one of Trump’s most longstanding supporters, and is sometimes credited with convincing the real estate mogul to run for president.

Full speed ahead
The judge in the Stone case says she will move forward with sentencing, rather than grant the motion for a new trial. Ace of Spades writes,
President Trump tweeted,
What?
The foreman of the jury lied about her political interest in the case.
The foreman.
And this judge doesn't think that issue deserves some exploration?
...You permitted a dishonest politically-motivated partisan to serve as foreman on the jury.
President Trump tweeted,
“Judge Jackson now has a request for a new trial based on the unambiguous & self outed bias of the foreperson of the jury, whose also a lawyer, by the way. ‘Madam foreperson, you’re a lawyer, you have a duty, an affirmative obligation, to reveal to us when we selected you the....
.....existence of these tweets in which you were so harshly negative about the President & the people who support him. Don’t you think we wanted to know that before we put you on this jury.’ Pretty obvious he should (get a new trial). I think almost any judge in the Country.....
.....would order a new trial, I’m not so sure about Judge Jackson, I don’t know.” @Judgenap (Andrew Napolitano)

Prosecutors want Roger Stone imprisoned for 9 years
Chuck Ross reports in the Daily Caller,
Okay, now I am ready to hear how many years for Comey!
Federal prosecutors in Washington, D.C., on Monday recommended that longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone serve up to nine years in prison.
...Instead, the charges against Stone involved his testimony to the House Intelligence Committee about his interactions with associates regarding the topic of WikiLeaks, which released emails hacked from Democrats in 2016. Prosecutors said that Stone lied when he denied speaking with anyone on the Trump campaign about WikiLeaks.
...Despite Democrats’ and the special counsel’s initial suspicions that Stone conspired with Russia or WikiLeaks, investigators found no evidence that the Trump associate had direct contact with anyone involved in stealing or disseminating Democrats’ emails.
The special counsel’s report said that investigators found no evidence that any Trump associates worked with Russia or WikiLeaks to release Democrats’ emails.
...Credico, who testified at Stone’s trial, asked Judge Amy Berman Jackson in a letter on Jan. 20 asking her to sentence Stone only to probation, without jail time. He testified at trial and said in the letter that he did not feel physically threatened by Stone’s threats.
...Stone is likely to get a lighter sentence than what prosecutors are recommending, and President Donald Trump has not ruled out pardoning his longtime friend.
Okay, now I am ready to hear how many years for Comey!

Did Mueller's lead investigator tip off CNN of the impending arrest of Roger Stone?
Here is another one from Sundance at The Conservative Treehouse. He reports that Gateway Pundit has a major scoop involving the tipping off of CNN of the impending arrest of Roger Stone.

Roger Stone now getting 10 death threats per day
Saagar Enjet welcomes Owen Schoyer of InfoWars.com and Roger Stone. Owen is Roger's co-host on the War Room, which is a radio talk show.
Roger: "This is a get-Trump hit squad, and Roger Stone is collateral damage!"

Roger Stone calmly and competently answers any and all questions from the press
This is incredible. I hope you can arrange the time to listen to this entire press conference in which Roger Stone made himself available to the press to ask any question they wished. It is the first time I have ever listened to him at length, and I was impressed. InfoWars made their studio available to the press, and a guy named Owen vented his spleen at the media before and after Mr. Stone answered questions in a highly competent and calm manner.

"Some people skate, others are destroyed."
Tucker Carlson has Roger Stone as a guest on his program tonight. Stone seems very confident that he will be vindicated. He says it is a war against the First Amendment, which is really a war against the press! He also talks about shadow banning on Facebook and being broke and asks the audience for money.
Andy McCarthy was Tucker's next guest. He called Stone's arrest "complete overkill." I wonder if the tipping off of CNN of the raid will backfire on Mueller, as the Swat team was so heavily armed, Stone was unarmed and his wife is deaf! "They treated him like he was a mafia don or Osama bin Laden!

Commentors at the Conservative Treehouse have their say on Stone arrest

It highlights how people on our side are big mouths and dumb. All idiot Stone had to do was take the 5th and keep his mouth shut. Its what the other side has done for years. But nope! Ole Roger loves the camera and can't keep his cakehole closed. So he opens himself up to 7 counts of gibberish.
Mark says,
It’s a hard choice but, let’s face it, this is bigger than Trump’s friends and associates being smeared by the media. I’m sure POTUS is furious and hurt that the Deep State is doing this to those he cares for but he’s focused on the MAGA agenda and not revenge.
I have to admit I wouldn’t want to be connected to Donald J. Trump these days.
Soaplady wrote,
On another thread on CTH, it is mentioned the CNN reporter at Stone’s house this morning is Josh Campbell…former FBI worked for Comey.Read more here.
