Hanson last November analyzing the election

Here is Victor Davis Hanson at the end of last November analyzing the 2016 election.

John McCain made the decision to lose nobly to Barack Obama, never bringing up anything negative about him.

2016 was actually a campaign about issues!

"Obama and Hillary uniters who had saved the Democratic Party?" Nothing could have been further from the truth!

Dr. Hanson is very critical of his colleagues at National Review for the way they look down at the rest of us. I am sure he must be, along with Andrew McCarthy, the writer with the largest following there. He was also very critical of the writers at The Wall Street Journal for the same reasons. "Have you ever had a dead person on your property? People who have, oppose illegal immigration!"

Now, Trump must race to get his agenda through, because he will die of a thousand cuts!

Obama had the House, Senate, White House, but couldn't do anything but be a nihilist!

The election was a referendum on who was wise and who was stupid. The pundits, Hillary's handlers, the pollsters were stupid. The people who can actually do something but don't get credit because it is muscular rather than intellectual, (craftsmanship) were wise. Who is ethical? Who is amoral?

Hillary created a crime syndicate of pay for play. Trump had all the right enemies. All the people you don't like don't like Trump! It is important to have the right enemies, not just the right friends!

VDH gives specific credit to Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer and Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. He also praised the brilliance of Steve Bannon. When Bannon got on the campaign Hanson thought, this is not going to be a Romney or McCain "lose nobly" campaign.

Comey "got what he deserved, and he's disgraced now!" He showed no integrity.

Obama never cared about anybody but Obama. He has no legacy of accomplishment. He will ride off into the sunset as a senior statesman and make a lot of money (from Wall Street banks!)

VDH has little sympathy for Hillary Clinton who abused the Constitution and lectures everybody on how moral she is.

Power is always a vanishing commodity once you obtain it. It is very fragile. Power has to be used again and again and again.

He won because 10 million voters didn't turn out for Hillary.

He's got to make the 27% Hispanic vote and the 20% Black vote and the working class white vote a permanent part of the Republican Party!
