Abortions continue to decrease


Live Action News reports that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has published a report indicating that
abortions have decreased in the last year, a trend that has continued for the past 25 years.

According to the latest data, published November 27, 2015, abortions fell by more than 31,000 from the previous year. In 2012, 699,202 abortions were reported to CDC, down 31,120 from the 730,322 abortions reported in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, the total number and ratio of reported abortions decreased 4% and the abortion rate decreased 5%. From 2003 to 2012, the total number, rate, and ratio of reported abortions decreased 17%, 18%, and 14%, respectively, and reached their lowest level in 2012 for the entire period of analysis (2003–2012).
