Learning socialism at an early age

I live in a conservative county in Colorado that votes overwhelmingly Republican. If you win the Republican primary, you will win the election.

It is curious, then, to see what is happening in the schools in our county. School starts tomorrow. Parents have been given lists of what to buy for the school year. All of those pencils, paper, notebooks, folders, Sharpies, calculators, glue, and crayons are then brought to school by the children. However, they do not get to keep what their parents bought. Everything is put in one big pool and re-distributed equally to all children in the class.

Parents are not too happy about this scheme. They know that it is being done because some parents do not purchase their share of supplies. The first lesson of the school year, then, is for children to learn about socialism!
