Fear of Failure

Michael Ledeen speculates that the primary reason for Obama issuing stand down orders in Libya was fear of failure. If the attackers had weaponry that could have brought down a C130, the impact on the election would have been disastrous for Obama. "Certainly a big part of Stevens’ mission was to recover the materiel left on the ground by Qadaffi’s troops, much of which was captured by the jihadis.
