How Christians can help each other

Do you ever have an important relationship that exasperates you? One where you feel that no matter what you do or say, nothing seems to make it better? I had one of those with a supervisor at work.

I talked to one of my friends who grew up in the Bible Belt of Mississippi. I told her I was just going to quit fretting about it and turn it over to God. She agreed that would be the best plan.

A few minutes later I saw the person with whom I was getting nowhere fast. She smiled at me and said, "Have a good lunch!" I was floored. I went back to my friend from Mississippi. I told her I had told God I was just going to quit fretting about it and turn it over to Him. She said, "I prayed too, asking God to influence the woman to treat you better. Then, the woman came over to me, and I asked her, what have you got against Bob? She said, Nothing! I just get stressed and come across kind of cranky, I guess. I told her you were upset about the relationship."

So, within a span of just a few minutes that whole burden was lifted. When I came back from lunch, the woman asked me where I would like to work for the rest of the afternoon. I told her anywhere would be fine. She gave me an assignment, showing genuine concern that it be one that I wouldn't mind doing.
