"I became addicted to the affirmation and attention. Schools are indoctrinating them. Parents are encouraging them. It's a fad. Online they are in chatrooms. Many were sexually abused. I ask them one simple thing: "Tell me what caused you to not want to be who you are." 100% of the time they can tell me. It is horrible, ugly. It has turned into a huge industry."
