Here is Chen and his wife and one of their two sons. I don't know what the story is about their other son. Anyway, the Chinese Communist government has said that they will allow Chen to apply for a passport to accept a fellowship to study at an American university. That university may be New York University, where a friend of Chen is on the faculty and has been helping with the negotiations.
