When I lived in Texas in the 1960s, I used to see billboards everywhere saying "Get The U.S. Out of the U.N." They were put up by the John Birch Society. I thought they were kooks. Now, I'm not so sure. Are the Birchers the kooks, or are the rest of us who allow our elected officials to tax us and use our money to fund sham organizations like the U.N. Human Rights Council?

The John Birch Society has been ahead of it time and "Bob's Blog" is just another example.
Back in 1997, The John Birch Society asked its members around the country to have state legislatures pass resolutions against the proposed International Criminal Court. It wasn't until 2000-2001 that it became an issue in the mass media.
In 1998, The Society's magazine "The New American" had a lead story about a little known person by the name of Osama Bin Laden. The magazine had on its cover a photo of Bin Laden and writen over the picture was "Is this the face of a terrorist." The article documented Bin Laden's terrorist activity.
The Society took a leadership role against the FTAA and now the North American Union. It warned people against the proposed NAFTA Super Highway. Members of The JBS distributed hundreds of thousands of magazines and DVDs on the subject. It's members got state legislatures to sponsor and/or pass resolutions in over 20 states.
Supporters of the NAU denied that such a plan was in the works.

Hey I was in TX in the 60s too, Waco!!! I remember my mom and dad talking about this kind of stuff. And you know what, frankly, amidst the kookiness, they were right. At least about the UN.
