Coalescing

What an emotional day it is here in Colorado. Our beloved little general, Mike Shanahan, has been fired as coach of the Denver Broncos, because the last three years his record has been 24-24. A press conference featured both Snanahan and owner Pat Bowlen. Shanahan was class all the way. He was surprised by Bowlen's move, but took it like the man he is. Shanahan choked up when saying Bowlen is the best owner in sports. Then he recovered and said you have to make tough decisions, and he "felt for Pat." As Shanahan said, "tough times don't last, tough people do." He is tough as nails. Both of these guys are all about winning, and not afraid to make tough decisions.

If people could only coalesce around who would be the best leaders for our country, like the people of this region coalesce around the Denver Broncos, our nation would be in better shape.

Of all the coach firings this week, this one was a real headscratcher. He'll be out of a job for about 10 minutes.

Happy New Year, Bob, to you and all your family!

Winning is wonderful but there are more important things...and I'm a Bama fan saying that, ha.
