A Man Who Finds Good Solutions

Obama's choice for Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, has a pretty amazing life story. He is one of eight children who grew up on a ranch with no telephone and no electricity. All eight Salazar children earned college degrees, four earned graduate degrees. Ken earned a law degree from the University of Michigan.

The ranch he grew up on is in the beautiful San Luis Valley, one of Colorado's poorest regions. Five generations of Salazar families farmed and ranched there, even before Colorado became a state.

Salazar, whose brother John is a Congressman and potato farmer, has a reputation of being a good listener, who balances different points of view to come up with good solutions to problems. He has a reputation for reaching across the aisle to get things done.

Salazar was Attorney General of Colorado when the mass murders were committed at Columbine High School by the two narcissistic spoiled brats, Erik Harris and Dylan Klebold.

Well then maybe we can have a common sense approach...but Obama keeps hiring lawyers which frankly makes me very nervous.
